Dusk of new beginning
by Naveen Poddar on Sep 03, 2008 11:18 AM  Permalink

In my view the nano project would had brought some fire in development of west Bengal, the development in the state has gone completely stagnant. The state will have thousand of new jobs and this is not only about the job created by tata in their plant but this kind of project has multiplier advantage. Let me give u some brief example. Tata will not manufacture everything in their own campus so nano project will require many vendors that will allow other vendor to flourish around shingur area creating many more jobs, along with this the trucks that will fly in and out will require place to sleep and eat which will creat avenue of small line hotels.

There will be many officer class people who will visit the plant and these vendors for which there is scope of development of atleat 3 star hotel in that area.

Because of this project the electricity, roads, water condition of the area has to be improved, benefiting people around that place.

And I don’t know wht TMC will get out of this because the scientist has already given their view that because of reformation of land for setting up the project the core structure of the land has been changed and there will be no farming possible on those lands.

The practice of Dharna, hartal, band are the babies of left Parties. Then why these hue and cry now. Let these LEFTs studies from the history.
Mamata is correct or not I dont know, but why govt keep mum on the 400 acre of land as she alleged. Why WB govt not providing any alternative or assurance to these farmers. To gain a political mileage, Mamta now leading her agitation, but definitely there is a valid reason. But each and every small issues why Left Govt sponsored Bands in Kerala, WB & Tripura ?

ANIL, i agree with Praveen completely. Kerala is rotting only bcoz of these communists.. and Kerala's money comes only from the NRI's in US and Gulf. The top 5 advertising agencies are not in Kerala..why?? coz there arent any good industries/companies that have a high sales turnover in kerala..that can actually contribute towards a sound advertising budget.

It would be a great loss as far as Industry in Bengal and the future investments are concerned.
Do Bigha Jameen,.... the situations have not changed a lot from then... Politicians exploit the emotions of the common man and make hay while sun shines. Mamta is trying to do that.

If Farmer wants to remain as farmer, that is most welcome and Bengal Govt should provide alternate agricultural land of samilar nature else where. The farmers will have have some trauma to leave the ansisters property but they are contributing to the future of the country.

Positive solutions should be sought rather than blocking the progress.

Hi Ratan tata
WB is investor friendly..u got it wrong...you should have become a hawker & encroached on pavements at Park Street/Rashbehari/Gariahat. Nobody would have dared to remove you .How dare u say we do not welcome entrepreneurs...what are the hawkers then ?
So please become a hawker...& take free space in the heart of Kolkata ( small token fee less than 1500 crores required to be paid to CPM,TC, Police, Municipalty, etc)

ITS ALL OVER
by NDLS on Sep 03, 2008 11:16 AM  Permalink

for WB. Change the name now to Bengal as there is no east or west anymore then move out these useless people like Buddhudev and Mangta to friendly neigbourhood (BD)in exchange for "Ghuspaithiyas" from there then people of Bengal should rework progress plans for the state. In the presence of these useless beings they will continue to suffer like their neigbouring states.

WB govt is shouting for industrial revolution. What about the shut down industries and the sick industries. Millions lost their jobs their.
TMC fight was for her political image rather than the farmers.
The farmers should be given good compensation for the lands.
Govt should reconstruct and think industrialization differently -- but not at the cost of rich agri land -- which gives a living for many people not only the land owners but the people associated with agriculture.
