i agree with you. i am a north indian, but i definitely believe that south is very favourable for big projects. there are enterprising govts, skilled and committed work force and resources.
it was a bad selection of tata to have finalized WB for such a prestigious project

Did you know that ancillary industry that TATA wanted in Singur was catering to small level entreprenours. They could have supplied components to TATAs as well to other big companies . You are that cheap supporter of corrupt Mamta who tries to fool uneducated mass. Do you think that the lands to be given back will be of any use to the farmers?

for your information nothing has been given to tata for free. the land, electricity, water etc. please check up the facts before posting messages here.
creating employment is not the job of the industrialist. they are ultimately responsible to their stake holders. have some knowledge about what is induatry and business. it seems you are expecting tata to assume the role of a government!
your question is the answer. there were innumemerable factories closed in WB, reason? the very nature of the working force is bad. they are motivated by self interest and bengalis are known for lethargy and relaxing nature
finally if mamata is so interested, why she is avoiding discssion with govt and other mediaters?
People of India should teach that corrupt leader Mamata Bannerjee a lesson. She might have been bribed by some foreign house to sabotage the project of TATAs that could have brought India in the lime light of technology. Patil....please do not fall into the trap of our politicians by nursing hatred in your heart..Marathi people have done great things... I feel like crying when ever i read about people like Bhaji prabhu desh pande and how he and his 300 warriors stood and faought against 20000 muslims to protect shivaji. At the same time please do not forget the contributions of Bihar...once the epicentre of culture in India...do not forget about Nalanda University. Infact if u think about it isn't maratha kingdom teh successor of yadava kingdom of devagiri. Browse regarding the origins of Yadava's u will find that their roots trace to bihar. So in one way your ancestors are Biharis...if presently their plight is not good ...let us hope that a leader like shivaji will develop in Bihar who will again unite the warring castes there and establish a thriving, proud and developed state

Hey Sreedhar..what Ajay said is true...we dont have parking facilities even to keep motorcycles in cities where the hell any one can park this nano ...nano is rubbish from the beginning..if Tata had atleast had an idea of environmental problems he is going to get with he should not have started it. Nano's design is excellent except to its engine which runs on fuel tatas should have used natural gas or electricity for this purpose..to make this car environmentally friendly...and more over..every one has to look into long term problems that it is going to get..along with the short term happiness of driving a car!!!!!! for many indians.

Mamata Bannerjee has always been in search political gains and wanted to gain power by hook or crook. Such a politician is a curse to our country. This time she played politics by maligning country's image. After this, foreign investment in India will be under threat. People should teach these kind of cheap politicians a lesson by rejecting them upfront. At the end the farmers on whom she played her dirty politics will be at total loss for the land they will get back will be of no use for it is already damaged and they do not have that money to make it eligible for cultivation.
