IT IS VERY ESSENTIAL TO GET NUCLEAR DEAL WITHOUT DELAY .THIS IS VITAL SUPPORT TO OIL NEEDS AS ALTERNATIVE. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT PARLIAMENT IS DOING WHY THEY ARE NOT DICUSSING OPENLY, TRANPARENTLY AND INVOLVING PEOPLE OF INDIA.MPS ARE NOW NOT REPRESENTING PEOPLE CONTRARY TO CONSTITIONAL PROVISION. THEY ARE REPRESENTING POLITCAL VIEWS WHICH OUR DEMOCRARY OR PEOPLE HAVE NOT GIVEN ANY AUTHORITY. BY BEING ELECTED THROUGH POLITCAL TICKET DOES NOT MEANS PEOPLE VIEWS BE NEGLECTED. THOSE WHO OPPOSE WELFARE OF PEOPLE ARE ANTI-INDIAN AND SPEAKER SHOULD HAVE COURAGE TO EXPELL THEM OR SHOULD RESIGN IF HE IS NOT A POSTION TO TAKE CRUCIAL DESION JCK
it is hard fact that there is no substitute for oil becoz its very powerful single source of energy. Also the demand is coming out from developing countries faster than expected and declining/stagnation production in world so increase in cost. Problem lies in people mindset so increase in selling price or levy of surcharge on carowners who are tax payer will does not serve any purpose. we hav to bear this increase cost of oil but govt must deregulate the price of kerosene/lpg/petrol so that the general public understand its utility and use public transport becoz luxury cannot be buy at cheaper prices..
The steps outlined are short-term to secure oil supplies. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. We are not tough enough nor do we have the clout with oil exporters or rather others can easily beat us to the game by the time we wake up! US & China will get their way by the time we agree to disagree!
We spent $100 billion for oil imports last year. That was when oil was cheap at below $ 100/barrel! One of our own hit the headlines saying oil can hit $ 200/ barrel. Let us not lose heart, but make an all out effort to go for clean energy. Japan is making great efforts in this direction. By joining up with them & others, we should also try for clean energy sources like solar. We should make all-out efforts for electric cars, two wheelers etc. Japan is already making headway for going 500kms per each charge. It is easier to produce grid electricity from alternatives than for individual cars etc.
Solar is not yet cheap, but can solve the energy issue once & for all. In fact, each country can be rid of this oil dependency which results in raping nature instead of harnesing the bounty. Each remote corner can harness the source and even make it as a cottage industry.
No doubt we are under the oil grip for now. But we ahould try to untangle the coil rather than be no-hoppers. There is no cartel yet for solar energy like as in oil & nuclear! In fact, we should take the lead as not only we, but the poorer countries can benefit from the bounty of sun!
The poor who use kerosene to cook should be given solar cookers at nominal cost. Trains should be redesigned to run on gas or hydrogen fuel cells. RIL should be brought under price control. These three steps will pave the road for allowing cude oil fractions to float at free market prices.
I just want to know why we cann't ban Reliance to export the petrol. I am not against Reliance, but when we dont have enough petrol for us why to export it...?

you idiot reliance imports crude oil refines it and then exports it.....they are actually doing a favor to the country by selling value addition.
In India there are so many taxes common man pay in everyday life. Like on petrol Base price is around Rs.22/-, custom duty approx Rs.2/-, Excise duty approx Rs.15/-, Sales tax around Rs.7/-. all these taxes goes into the pocket of goverment. Government is earning huge money in the form of tax but they can't pass that tax money collected, to oil companies.
On the other hand we pay service tax on phone bills, toll tax on road usage, house tax, and income tax, sales tax.
Common man is overburdened with lots of taxes. Government must lower the taxes and utilise fund much effectively collected in the form of different taxes. In our country money allocated for variuos scheme doesn't reaches to the needy people, it goes into the pocket of corrupt politician and official.
Political parties do not pay taxes on donations, MPs salary is not taxable. They enjoy everything free of tax and all the burden of taxes are on common man.

So what does that mean...become a politician to lead a kings life!!!

Slow Indias dependence on foriegn oil before we get addicted to it like the US. Fuel is cheaper in India than in Europe. Petrol costs 93 rupees in Germany. We should also charge high aprking fees on luxury cars.
Raising fuel prices will reduce our oil consumption.
Lesser Oil consumption means lesser forex outflow.
This would be bad. Lets evaluate our tax using the following story
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to 100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay 1. The sixth would pay 3. The seventh would pay 7. The eighth would pay 12. The ninth would pay 18 The tenth man (the richest) would pay 59.
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. I only got a dollar out of the 20, declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, but he got 10! Yeah, that%u2019s right, exclaimed the fifth man. I only saved a dollar, too. It%u2019s unfair that he got ten times more than I! That%u2019s true!! shouted the seventh man. Why should he get 10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks! Wait a minute, yelled the first four men in unison. We didn%u2019t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor! The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night the tenth man didn%u2019t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn%u2019t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, is how our tax system works. Tax wealthy too much, attack them for being
