Has someone ever realized HR is the worst arm of an organisation.

Only jargon, buzzwords and cliches.

Employees first, Customers next, Investors Last
by Vijay Thirugnanam on May 13, 2008 01:55 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I always have this maxim:
Employees first, Customers next, Investors Last

Yes, employees are more important than customers! Because they stay with you and you have better control over their happiness.

If your budget is only Rs.100, then take her to the nearest "Andhra Mess" which is a paradise to all the bachelors working and surviving in the IT industry. Probably, with Rs.100, you may have to wash the floors (as Mac does not use plates to serve, but just plastic plates) on Mac...

I was kidding.

On a more serious note, don't you have any "Friends" of the same sex who you can discuss this issue with? Must you post it in a public domain and seek strangers' opinion? You can as well stand in Gachchi Bowli Bus stand and seek a public poll....

I mean think about it...

Infosys,Wipro,TCS,HCL and Satyam are doing junk work (Testing, bug fixing etc) and simply they are hiring IITians and spoiling their careers and technical skills.

Infosys,Wipro,TCS,HCL and Satyam are good for testing people.

The work Infosys,Wipro,TCS,HCL and Satyam are doing is just washing the underwires of american's and european's( In US/EU they do all design and these useless company will test their wastes

Contract work
by Redif on May 13, 2008 01:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Today in our country most of the MNCs appoint employees from outsourcing payroll and they are not even given a promotion or taken under company's payroll despite of thier hard work that leads to dissatisfaction in employees and that is the area where a company should look after which can at least make employees more satisfied if not overall . What u guys say

Agree with you. Advise to work towards the closure of such companies by remembering their existance is more dangerous.

The scenario is different in India
by Polisetty Ravishankar on May 13, 2008 01:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The employees (the majority) in India are a bit different Ms Keller. The majority first try and get into a job and then think of whether they like the job or not. Its not passion which runs them unlike in the US. Its just (and probably only) money and nothing else which keeps them up and running. The Indian employees (majority) are a bunch of crap when it comes to aims or goals in theie lives. And coming to employee satisfaction surveys - In India, they (again the majority) will never be satisfied as they always would try and compare with their bosses salary-wise and compare with their juniors work-wise. I hope you realize this very soon and get back to US. Indians are fit only to be rules and thats what has been happening for the past 1000 years to date. And thats what will happen even in future if Indians (majority) don't change their attitude.
