never thought recession will be hitting india so quickly ... handset without screen .... spice must be joking ... even bigger joke is that they expect to sell 1 million units ... hmm looks like vinash kalin viparith buddi ... somebody is going to lose his job big time ...
I BOUGHT A MOBILE FOR 800-900Rs only, the funny thing this mobile has when any incoming call comes it shows no number or caller id on display but only written "INCOMING CALL"/"OUT GOING CALL",Is any one interested to buy this type of model????????????????????????
I just bought a mobile for Rs. 900 and It had a display they(the seller) just took it out of pakage deal and sold the phone without service. This phone even sounds of lower quality then that, but one warning if the phone gets hot it is radioactive, mean you risk cancer and should only use less because more time means more exposer time mean greater risks. India has no standards regretable.
I am surprised by reading that these phones don't have basic functions & display screen And claining to sell 1-million units in India in next 12-months. Who is this Marketing strategist for SPICE, living in a 10 years back time. He don't understand the nerves of Indian public. Even villagers are smart enough now. First, they go for more utilities than price and second, they prefer to buy a second hand mobile with more functions than that of a new one with less. For the information of Spice Officials, second hand mobiles instruments are available in 25% price all over India. ADVICE to Spice CEO: Don't do it. You will see the results after launch and then sack innocent people.

dont go for spice mobile, very poor after sales service, the products are bhagwan bharose
Lack of screen does not hampher the basic functionality. This is definitely not for higher end users. But neverthless gives another alternative if one needs just the phone with no SMS, MMS etc.,
We already have some basic handsets costing abt 1400 rupees with a decent screen. Y cant Spice provide a mobile phone with just 2 lines of a monochrome display with this phone? i think this will cost less than 50 Rupees more for mass production. Also, However illiterate they are, a screen can help them cross check the number they are dialing... or c whos calling by maintaining a very basic phone book.
