They can't get it right
by D B on Apr 13, 2008 05:48 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Rediff, you reposted the story and just referenced another website. What's the value add in that? On top of it Bankersalmanac.com is only listing retail banks not financial houses like Citigroup. That is why they list Citibank NA (US part of Citigroup's Retail banking branch) as 16. As a financial house Citigroup has the most assets. I would expect you guys to clarify that if you post a story!!! Also who edits this stuff? Don't they read all the responses everyone is posting and realize that rediff has their facts wrong?

Where is Antonio-Maino's money
by raja sunder on Apr 07, 2008 06:51 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think Dish washer Antonio Maino alias Sonia might have deposited the money in this Bank. Quatroochi also deposited his loot in this Bank. The next BJP government should investigate this looting.

Raja Sunder,
What makes you think that washing dishes is menial? I am pretty sure you went to college on your dad's money , so you have no way of knowing or appreciating that in Europe and US it is common for students to take up bar-tending or waitressing to pay for tuition/living expenses etc., Stop hating someone just because they are from another country and realize that being nationalistic is much more than supporting your own ilk blindly.

Aneesh bhai,

Rediff is not copied from Forbes.com, if Rediff would ve taken from Forbes then most of us will be rely on their list as Forbes knows best for this but they ve taken from an unknow spanish website who does this crap with all incorrect figures. So, read it carefully. And, if you want to see correct figure the go to forbes.com -> lists.

Hey man, these are not the true figure nor these are the top ten banks. Check out Bloomberg.com or FT.com or forbes.com to get the correct figure.

Fo your information, till today Citi bank is the biggest bank by asset in US, BOA is holding the 2nd position. And, by market value HSBC is the world's biggest and by asset it's the number third.

These are the craps to believe how come SG came into the picture, just few weeks before HSBC was trying to acquire the bank,it was France govt. who opposed foreign players to acquire their bank. And by above given banks, 70% of them are shortage of huge cash flow that is why most of them trying to generate money by selling their rights or preferred stocks or warrants for survive.

Check out below few message, you will get the details about true figure.

Canara Bank is no.4 in India behind SBI, ICICI and PNB. All the 4 above combined would be smaller than any of the top 10 banks in the world.
