I don't know on where it comes under. But register office (where you register your lands) would top anyone's list !! The point is that everyone who goes there tries to corrupt the officers by undervaluing the price of their properties.

Still Pay Hike For Babus?
by Sam on Mar 25, 2008 05:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Do our sarkari babus still deserve 40% pay hike? They are earning billions of dollars through bribes.

In fact we should punish the corrupt babus with death penalty like China does. Let us not pretend that we are a democracy and China is not. Our babus have ensured that an average Indian citizen does not enjoy more rights than an average Chinese citizen.

China has been shooting its corrupt officers for years but is still ranked alongside India. Some poor slob gets shot in China and the big fish get away always. Don't fool yourself.

Btw, India's ratings have been improving. Play it again, Sam.

It is unfortunate that India bagged 72nd place. But if we can see in some areas it appears that, we are in first, but shame ful a country where people like Rama, Bhishmacharya and Krishna born. Sometimes i feel to shoot all these Govt. people who demands bribe. A people wih true spirit dont allow to such an evil to exist. I appreciate Lokayuktha in this regard but Lokpal has also to be implemented for effective impplementation of law for eradicate such an evil.

The world's most and least corrupt nations
by r s on Mar 25, 2008 05:43 PM  Permalink

It is heartening to note that India has improved its image on corruption ladder, but is it not irony that the nation which boasts of teaching morality to the world,is so low in morality itself?

corruption is a state of mind.corrupt to one is routine to another.it can only change for the better only when we make a concerted effort to live a life which is self-less,holy & devoted.

"selfless, holy & devoted".

If i decide to live honest to myself, i should be able to get rid of corruption. And living honest comes out with some of the qualities which you have described.

If all the government institutions in India are put in the hands of private parties for a minimum of 2 years, we can visibly see the results of least corruption. Try for once
