by susi soni on Mar 25, 2008 10:19 PM  Permalink

If we have such a huge list of corrupt IAS officers, what good can they do for the public .these IAS officers have misused the powers to the hilt and the courts should ask for the enquiry and prosecution, of the corrupt IAS officers in AP.

Things whcih have to be done to reduce corruption in india:

Increase computerisation in all govt depts and for all govt services. This will make it difficult to manipulate records etc.

Poor people who depend on govt subsidies should be given cards which cannot be tampered with so that they can get subsidies meant for them.

Increase number of courts, judges. india has a lot of shortage compared to west, So that corruption cases will be solved soon.

Increase literacy in our country. An educated person will be better at fighting corruption than an uneducated person.

Since we indians have been seeing corruption since our childhoos we have become used to it and have started thinking this is normal. thats why we are tolerating it and thats why it is not decreasing but increasing. we have to become more intolerant to it.

Corruption breeds corruption. An honest person if he sees corruption around him or if he is in between corrupt people, will also most likely becme corrupt.Thats human nature. Thats why there is lot of corruption in india. cos honest people are always find themseves between corrupt people.

Developing countries are always more corrupt than developed countries due to the lack of above mentioned facilities

Therez Corruption everwhere...!!
by Raman Hariharan on Mar 25, 2008 09:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear all,

Corruption has 3 forms:
1. Money
2. Gifts/Favors
3. Influence
So, almost all of us would have experienced at least one form of corruption listed above. And, India is certainly on its way to compete with Nigeria or Somalia - the most corrupted nations according to the survey.

Three things that could save the future of India, that I could think of are:
1. Tight Law & Order
2. Tight Law & Order
3. Tight Law & Order

Then comes developing honest next generation children...!!

Great news
by Innocent Fool on Mar 25, 2008 09:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is great to note that corruption has not increased in India since 2006.
It's rate is static now.
I thought by the change of government in different states corruption rate will go up.
Thanks to regional leaders that they are behaving allright !
Now we have to eye on central leaders-----

Newly elected governments in different states has incresed corruption to make up the lose.
Central people's exploitation reduced because of lack of new schemes.
Hence the totlal result remained same.
Or may be Indian corrupt class has brived this servey commity to report false.
