In a strenuous interpretation invisible EXPERTS-with mysterious qualifications ready in line to support any pre determined conclusion of the author. India's woes are not solveable by cosmetic legislation or any legislation for that matter as legal forum is not accountable -therefore corrupt and dead ended for exasperating even most resilient. Unless legal forums handout in reasonable deadline severe punishment as deterrent prescribed in the Act without discretionary soft kid glove treatment no law will prevent any crime RTI is last legislation which has been rendered ineffective by piling cases and unattended complaints as the implementation of this act is itself in hands of corrupt Government servant under criminal corrupt political netas
RE:World's most corrupt nation-Indias PROUD 72nd place

hi this is true and realistic-when will this country stop day dreaming and wake up to harsh reality??
I am surprised to know that India is at 72nd position among the corrupted nations in the world. But I expected far below 50th as facing the real experiences in the country day by day. After seeing this index what would the good will thinkers and top social personalities suggest for improvement? It is a big question, so let us wait for some days.

It is refreshing to view of optimism-but India as experienced by citizens tell different story-over the yeas mandate of majority itsel demonstrates tolerance of corruption as part of system worse seeks to benefit by sharing small crumbs from corrupt-a nation that votes in a bizarre lady with unchecked background from Italy for top position is true proof of irresponsibility. India today is more corrupt and beyond point of return as netas are elected on basis of Nehru family linage, regional parochial linguistic affiliation with caste religion thrown in for free-When whole parliament and CBI Home Ministry can co-ordinate with harmony unseen in implementing common laws to prevent deportation of Q from Argentina we have fallen below status of banana Republic
Various types of corruption in our country are 1)Doing the job after accepting the bribe.2)Not doing the job after accepting the bribe, but prolonging.3) Asking for the bribe for each and every step of action till the work is over.4) Asking for the bribe to run the business continiously at their disposal of time, after completing the job with the bribe et.
If one wants to grade the states, kindly send your views.
Just as Right to Information Act, which had to be enacted because of zealous activist Mr Anna Hazare, there is need for keeping criminals out of politics. Reliance of all the political parties on criminals to threaten people into voting for them has set the rot and then the helpers have become the bosses themseves. Iy is impossible to prove anything against a criminal once he becomes a law maker. Therefore, if any person has a a police complaint or criminal or even a civil case that involves even moral turpitude, filed a year before election should be debarred from contesting. Cases filed wihtin a year of the election can be through political vendetta. In such cases the accused, revealing his intention of contesting the election should request for day to day hearing of the case to decide if a priam facie case exists. This will speed up the investigative and judicial processes and also keep the criminals our of politics. It is quite silly to allow people to contest elections and come into places of power so that they may influence the course of justice. Their right to contest elections should be suspended till their name is clear or they pay their due to the socieity for their crimes. A clerk or even a peon in any sevice is suspended if there is an inquiry against him or her, but we are so mindful of the democratic rights of accused persons, even for bombblasts and murders, that we allow people accused of these to contest elections.
You have got it all wrong. Its not the Country(India)but its Politician who are amongst the Leading Corrupts in the World!! Corruption among our Leaders is so high that we have to HANG our heads in SHAME!!
Thanks to Indian Politicians ...whose best hiding place is behind the excuse "LIKE PEOPLE LIKE LEADER"......when corruption flows from top to bottom and not a Bottom-UP process.
THOSE WHO SURVEY ABOUT CORRUPTION HAS BEEN GETING WRONG.. IF U TURN TO DAY TODAY LIFE OF INDIAN GOVERMENT SECTOR U WILL FIND 100% CORRUPTION AND SHITS IN INDIAN ECONOMY. INDIAN GOVERNMENT IS THE MOST CORRUPTED FROM PEON TO PM

The more it is commented as epoch making the more it is impotent-this legislation like all other legislations are subject to manipulation at implementation stage in courts or REGULATORY AUTHORITIES who are those corrupt bureaucrats and netas themselves in disguise-as Dileep Kumar in film Ram aur Shyam-double roles-so this legislation is pacifier in mouths of arraigned common man. It is only those suffering from compulsive neurosis who hail anything done by Govt -sycophants without reasoning

I believe, corruption is as active as we let it happen. Dear Ajaz, i got, almost all of the things listed by you, done without paying a single paise as bribe. My principle was simple, not to pay any bribe and be ready to face any delays. And when the govt officials realize this kind of a stand, even they dont bother you much. Though i must say, such a journey is not easy and be ready to face some delays and discomfort, due to multiple visits to the concerned departments.

So far I have not had to pay any bribe, blieve it or not! Exception being at the Octroi posts at Thane and Mumbai, where this was a regular feature. Once I was asked for Rs.1100 for my birth certicficate, but I refused to pay that and produced other proof of DOB. In fact, when I got my telephone connection, the concerned official called me and told me specifically that the phone would be installed in 24 hours and I was not to pay a single paisa, all the money had been paid. That is India I have experienced.
