This guy is planning to trade on Chinese vehicles in the name of electric vehicle. No investments, no jobs to be created. Will make some money, leave people who buy in the lurch and laugh..

Agreed about your concern about envoirnment. Only issue is the commitment level of this specific car manufacturer ( ????? ) This factory was closed for last 30 years and the real estate value has gone through the roof . Good way of convincing the government to sell some of them for financing this project ( ?? )and siphon off the money. We understand !!!! Come to Palta and ask the people around you will know everything !
Except the bus design, those are the most ugliest designs of cars and bikes, i have ever seen. if u own and drive them on roads people will laugh at u.
With no R & D , a shabby run down factory , with no visible team , they have made the biggest joke ! Trust me , I stay very close to this place ( Palta ) and there is no sign of any activity as big as car manufacturing. We have seen many such frauds in Bengal , the Ural in Haldia , the Mahabhatat bikes in Uluberia. I fail to understand why rediff is promiting them !

Comapre the backgrouds with the facility of Maruti or Tata's . Any one can understand the difference. They factory site is few warehouse like structures with rest of the place is a bulldozed pre historic factory shed. Is a Car manufacturing a Joke ??? You will never , ever see this cars on the road .
While this is like tata nano and the new bajaj car and will have a similar role in crowding the already crowded streets, I still wonder if it is actually a good thing in disguise.
If this becomes popular, we will have reduced dependency on oil and its increasing costs and pollution.
Of course, this is a lifestyle thing - where will you get chargers and sockets in places where it is difficult to find parking itself?
Moreover, this may not be popular with jetsetters who are constantly on the drive. But for patient people, this may be a durable and cost-effective solution.
1. For calculateing Rs/Litre people always use Electriacl energy cost, and forgetting the depreciation of batter. Considering full life of battery as 2 years, the running cost will be Rs 3000/ year as overhead or more
2. Pollution : Lead Pollution by battery also a very serious issue
3. Battery capacity reduces with each charge-recharge cycle.
While competition would throw mud and slurry on these ideas, I have flowers to offer. Concept is very fine, speed up to reality and provide these cars on the road in India first after that look for international markets. You would remember the saying that 'Virtue Begins At Home' and hope to see that. Do not worry of generating electricity, take my idea of building part of it while your vehicles are running and storing it back to the spare batteries - this will offset running cost and also pollution anticipated from coal-energy plants. Besides adding rotor and stator technology in the wheels, you can also include mini hydle plant in between the wheels, it just needs water storage tank and a deep bucket conveyor which would provide force and generate electricity while your vehicles are running. Take these ideas and put your engineers on the job and present these cars to India Motor Show after they have passed ARAI Tests for safety and breakages. You can also add natural air cooler by introducing a roof size can (hard box) with open mouth to receive natural air in force and pass it through thin tubes to compress it and release natural cool air in the cabinet & passengers area, your electronics and human would be cool, free of cost by this idea and would also give you advantage of driving cool air cars at only 30 paise per kilometer. Don't Worry Be Happy and Move The World, While You Have Got The Space To Stand! All The Best!
