Replace all the traffic slowing autos with Tara or Nano
by SS Kumar on Mar 20, 2008 10:58 AM  Permalink

It is no secret autorickshaws slow down the traffic in any of the cities they operate in. Plus, the driving habits of auto drivers is a role model for others to best avoid with zero respect for the traffic rules. I think the Govt. should provide loans to these auto drivers to junk their autorickshaws and move over to the
speedier Taras or Nanos. It is high time the Government stopped the production of autorick- shaws, in India and allowed them only for exports.

tara

The whole idea of this car is misunderstood by most people who read this article. Tata nano and tara can never be compared in the same lines since the concept of car has come to india. however, in west, it is common to see people going of in cars during weekends which is quite far from the residence or place of stay. In this case you cannot expect these (tara) or electrickind of vehicles to choose once mode of transport. Each vehicle is designed for some concept such as style, power, brandvalue, image, money, technology, fuel, environment etc. It is however , next to imposssible to meet all these criteria for making a car. We also do not meet many of the criteria as human which we are required to do. However, we fit only in limited areas to work or live. why then this bias in some of the articles which was written by half informed people without having ridden these vehicle and commenting on these technologies. I want to say only one thing this world is a bigger place to live and everyone should have a choice to make their life. I hope this would end the argument of this article

Tara cars
by jayaprakash PK on Mar 19, 2008 03:50 PM  Permalink

It depends on how long the cars run on a single recharge of its batteries. Also the duration of recharge etc. will decide on its acceptability. Let us wait and see what happens.

Electric cars
by Raghu on Mar 19, 2008 10:20 AM  Permalink

If the car serves the purpose of majority of people which the company is targeting, why not give a chance. There cannot be one single solution to take care of environment, cost, speed and also looks.

Tara Vs Tata Nano
by R K on Mar 18, 2008 05:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is no comparasion between Tara Green and Tata Nano. The former (even though greener) is yet to prove on the roads and later is already proven being with usual years old technology.Difference of Rs 1000 in price is unimportant

Is this a rediff write up or an AD
by surya thatavarthy on Mar 18, 2008 05:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why does not rediff come out in open and say how much they have taken for this posting. This looks more like an AD than a write up. Even a write up on mallika sherawat never had 17 pictures in it.

We need to give a NOBLE Prize for XXXXXXity of rediff and Mr. Gang u lie, for bringing us an electric car in a land of abundant electricity. Let us stop using cooking gas and start using electric stoves so that we all can cut down on emissions. Lets give every body who implements this a NoBULL prize.

Rediff, check on what you write. The best way to hide your dumbness is putting a cap on your pen
