by Libran on Mar 06, 2008 08:25 PM  Permalink

You have mentioned "It is worth mentioning that banks like Corporation Bank, Syndicate Bank and Karnataka Bank were launched in the Mangalore". But Symndicate bank was started in the nearby town of Udupi/Manipal.
Canara Bank was Started in Managalore. How can you miss that? Vijaya Bank too started in Mangalore.

yes it looks like builders have paid rediff to sell their aricle, am an manglorean have seen the city sinking deep into abys, with poor narrow roads, with no parking space for the vehicles, busses stopping in middle of the road, buildrs encroaching on the footpath and the city commisioner looking the other way targeting only the poor people who occupy the footpath to sell their wares, plenty of water problem in summer inspite of two rivers, can it become a become a boom town, it can only for the builders, not for the common man

It seems as though Mlore and Udupi becoming twin cities in years to come. Ther are many good educational institutions like MIT,KMC,NITTE Etc. I wish Mangalore will grow but retainig its culture and tradition.
To add one more point there are good number of young people who can speak english, which can be good manpower source for BPO industry.
