It is not correct that Corporation Bank and Syndicate Bank were launched from Mangalore. In fact birth place of both these Branches is Udupi town which is 60 kms from mangalore and a district HQ of udupi District. In fact Malpe Harbour near udupi was more suited as natural harbour and strongly recommended by Japanese to indian Govt but for political reasons port was allotted to Mangalore.

udupi was part of the erstwhile dakshina kannada district of which mangalore was the capital. you are right about syndicate bank, but corporation bank was established in mangalore along with canara bank(hq shifted to blore), vysya bank and karnataka bank.

Some outside anti social elements instigate such separatist issues like we are facing in Kashmir. They believe that once they are successful in acheiving such things will further divide people on the same grounds. There are five languages spoken in the three districts which include Tulu, Malayalam, Konkani, Kannada & Beary and are so peacefully co-existing from centuries. It is the locals who have to decide if any problems exist not outsiders.

Tuluvas are speakers of Tulu language. Tuluvas are highly educated, prosperous people & spread across the world. They are basically from Kasorgod, South Kanara & Udupi districts of Kerala & Karnataka. Tuluvas in the 60's used to migrate to Mumbai & Middle East, but today you can find them in large numbers in Bangalore & US. To name a few famous Tulavas are Bollywood actors Aishwarya rai, Suniel Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Heart Surgeon Devi Shetty & many more. Tuluvas, Kannadigas, Malayalis & Konkani people co-exist in this part of Karnataka. There are some outside anti social people who try to stir the peaceful co-existance now and then. It is these people to decide the local problems if exists not outsiders who have vested interests in karnataka
There are some outsiders who try to meddle in state affairs & stir up the integrity of Karnataka. There interests are to corner the prosperous Tulavas & separate them. They are jealous of Tulavas acheivements. The entire Karnataka also belongs to Tulavas and they should not restrict themselves to some areas. The Karnataka governments should put their efforts in development of Tulu language.

Only a separate state for Tulunadu can ensure proper development. Karmataka is only interested in exploiting Tulunadu resources and imposing Kannad at the expense of Tulu.

that "new" airport built by firangs looks like a warehouse, compare that to the airport built by an indian company at hyderabad!
There is no single flyover which is yet to be completed. Power is a major Problem. Though the two joining rivers still there is water problem. The Hanpankatta old bus stand still used as taxy stand and open air urinals and is a big beggers den. Near Town Hall & Nehru Maidan as become full of homeless people. This is a article wriiten on behalf of builders to fool people. But the city has good educational institutions & hospitals and good educated people.
