The 10 largest Mall page must be revised. I think Dubai will gain a place with Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Batuta Mall, Dubai Festival City and soon Dubai Mall -Prem

Largest Malls- aill in asia
by Manjunath Doshetty on Jul 17, 2008 03:11 PM  Permalink

Surprised to see that 9 out of 10 largest malls are in asia. What a paradox, asia having more poorer nations than other continents but still have such so many malls!!!

MALLS R SO BORING
by Rakesh Sharma on Jun 25, 2008 03:24 PM  Permalink

When the Malls stated coming up in India it was very exciting. Now they r soo boring. Big shops where hardly anyone buys anything. The best business done is by the Food Court(exorbitant rates) and the Grocery(Food Baazar etc). Few do buy eelctronics. How can the shops survive? It is also a spot 2 visit during weekends for family and 4 the whole day and whole wek 4 young couple.

Dude when you visit a new place then try to eat that country's ethnic food rathern than idli as idli is always waiting for you in India. Eating is your choice and right but this is my suggestion. When you come back to India you can talk about your experience with your friends and family about the native cuisine instead of idli.

I remember to have taken my French Client to a mall in Bangalore. He just said - "Oh, India has come down from the traditional Vedic culture to mall culture". It required a French Nationalist to open my eyes.

SECULAR INDIA,

That's because we have millions of secular India kinda of people hh1tt1ng on the streets.

Columbus, Vasco Da Gama, Magellan all were desperate to come to India for her richness, beauty, wealth, knowledge, science, math, poetry, valour, generosity diversity and humanity. These are the aspects of Hinduism which is Vedic Culture. Today's filthy roads are a gift to us from Mahatma Gandhi & Nehru. Nothing to do with Vedic Culture. Vedic culture teaches you to live in Harmony with nature, practice duty and search for the inner self and reelization of the self.

The Bl00dy f*Ck1n Chr15tian M1s510naries & Islamic invaders nearly destroyed India. Nehru & Gandhi were muslims with Hindu names. Nehru's ancestry was Persian. No wonder they destroyed India more than the Miss10nary traitors/ Islamic an1mal5.

Beggars & dac01ts, ch0rs normally come out of Churches.... biggest one is at the Vatican. Please convert, please convert to X-ianity... thats all they beg... Otherwise, in the name of charity/ social service, they beg for Rs. 100000 donation for a simple school admission. Then they slowly encroach on the Hindu temple lands, with the likes of Nehru, Gandhi, Sonia, YSR, Karunanidhi swindle the temple money to destroy the country further. That's perfect duty according to Islam & X-1an1ty. But Hindu/ vedic culture never advised the Indians to occupy other territories... the known history of humanity is the proof. The Aryan Invasion theory is just a theory becaus the best A

BABU,

Thats because your grandfather was a snake charmer...

But really do u think your grand father's snakecharming skills brought the Europeans to India? No... What brought them to India is the wealth, knowledge, humanity, kindness & generosity, education and spirituality of India... Didn't you read why Columbus, Vasco Da Gama were desperate to come to India?

India's infant mortality rate is comparable to that of sub-Saharan Africa. India's literacy rate is amongst the lowest in Asia. India's roads are amongst the worst in the world. Indian cities are unhygienic cesspools of filth and degradation. India's business capital Mumbai is a city full of slums. India's metropolitan cities do not have uninterrupted power supply. A large number of India's political leaders have criminal records. Castes and classes in India fight to be classified 'backward'. Half of the places in India's premier institutes are allotted purely on the basis of caste. India does not have the spine to stand up to China's bullying. Superpower? Good joke.

True - India is the only country where traitors owing allegiance to a foriegn country ( Left and China ) are allowed to even exist. Perhaps the only country where foreign policy is held to ransom by an aggressive minority. and that a powerful group uses violence to call itself backward and tribal !!

I wish I was as optimistic as Loga . The inflated stock market made people believe that India is better than America and that we are on verge of ruling it. The oil and commodities shock has brought us back to earth for what we are - a poor , badly governed , fourth world country which has ignored its poor and is one verge of infrastructural and environmental collapse.

India set to be No.1 in manufacturing investment?
by XianYe on Jun 24, 2008 07:00 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

set to be? is forecast to be? is predicted to be? ...

China is shedding off certain manufacturings that contain very little technology. I suppose India can pick up where China left off. China is going up the value chain and making overseas ionvestments in textitles, basic electric and electronic machinery, home appliances etc. Hope India can attract some of these unwanted baggage. Good luck.
