I remember a Hero Puch Moped of 1991 model gave mileage of 90 km /litre. In 1998 petrol was Rs 22 per litre. I used to fill up petrol of Rs 100 for the complete month. Daily usage was hardly 10 km. That meant monthly usage was 300 km only. Enough petrol left to travel another 100 km.

yes, its true, my friend had a luna so one sunday we planned to dutch money and get one ltr petrole and roam about whole day , but petrol cost was roughly 11 rupees per ltr , it was too much for us both we had only 5 rupees all together so we have to keep lune inside and take our bycycle out.............i was 10 yrs old then.......... this time no matter what the petrol cost we can afford but i think some day every body we go back on there bycycle so keep fit guys.
