Because I used to go to the market with aboout Rs 5/- and we used to buy half kg mutton for rs 1.50 Today Mutton is Rs 200 per kg and incomparison thepetrol has not increased to that level. so it is cheap. Gold was rs 17/- per bhari in 1940's and Rs 330/- per tola in 1974 when I got married. The lawyers in the Kolkata High court are still charging in terms of one gold mohur which was Rs 17/- per mohur for a very long time. Gold is 12500 per ten gram or about Rs 13,000/- per tola so it is cheaper than petrol.

how many times you buy gold and how many times you buy petrol... got it...
The price of Petrol will soon rise to such a level that people will start using bicycle or go for long walks. This will definitley be good for health of people.
