have u ever driven a car my friend....try not to make remarks which are'mnt of any use
yes i have paid Rs. 22 per litre in 1998 but at that time the crude oil prices in dollar was around $12 and now the price of crude oil in $ is $126. So, i don't think that this increase is sufficient for the refiners and also at the same time with the growth in the economy the purchasing power of people in India have also increased. Also, with the increase in petrol prices government should give some relaxation in the taxation by revising the reimbursemnet structure and an individual can save some amount on taxes equalising the increase in the prices of crude oil.
Though the fuel price rise will affect everybody, I dont think we should compare prices will 70's and 80's. What was our salaries those days and what are we drawing now?
