Guys, No pointing of blaming UPA govt. They are trying their level best to keep the price low. Due to the unavoidable circumstances and to save the nation they are increasing the fare. If they do not increase the price, oil companies will go bankrup results in total turmoil of the economy.
In my previous birth i paid around 0.25p / ltr. it was around 1925. After reading this article i recollected each and every incident of my previous birth... thanks to rediff.
I remember paying 22.5 for petrol. That time it was a burden for me and still, after more than 7-8 years, it remains a burden though I earn approx 10 times more than what i used to earn that time. Hushhh...

When I was in class 10 in 1969-70, and learn drive of scooter in that time cost of petrol was 1.10 paisa per lt. and average was measured in gallon.
In 1990 I used to pay Rs.5.80 or something like that per litre of diesel for my Mahindra Jeep. Petrol at that time was in the range of Rs.9 per Litre or so,
