The reason behind the inflation as well as this price increase for petrolium products are as a result of blind approach of Congress Party and it is the result of opportunitic politics played by the ruling coalition at the centre. This is the absolute result of Vote Bank politics of Congress party which they have been playing with this nation since indipendence. The renowed ecnomists are become donkies in front of public.
When I bought my first car in 1970, petrol was Rs 1.40 per litre. Adjusting for inflation, it should be equivalent to about Rs 18.00 whereas now it will be over three times this. It is time we harness alternate energy for agricultural and power generation purposes.
well everyone cribs about the rise in petrol prices and that the govt should do something about it.. then come on see the bigger picture.. havent most of us been given a salary hike more the percentage of hike in petrol all these years.. v have all gotte used to be treated as immature lot.. try n find how much this petrol n diesel have been subsidised to make all of us feel better.. come on guys lets try n get used to living a life with no subsidies.. that wud be the day when v shud feel independent.. not dependent on subsidised life..think abt this if u can afford a car u better not crib abt the petrol.. penny wise and pound foolish..

Govt is making all of us fool by saying that they are giving huge sunsidy on petrolium products. In India total taxes on petrol is about 52% it means the oil company get only 24rs for a litre and 26rs goes to govt as tax and govt give about 6-10rs as subsidy :-)

On one side there is subsidy, on the other side Govt & Oil Companies together take away about 70% of the retail price in their kitty. Actully higher crude price, higher the Government earning in terms of import duty, excise duty, CST, VAT, corporate tax from oil companies.
DEAR FREINDS ITS JUST A START OF. BIG PRICES FOR OIL PRODUCTS IN INDIA . MANY MORE THINGS ARE LEFT TO SEE . SUBSIDY IS STILL CONTINUED UNLESS THE PETROL WILL BE MORE THAN 100/- PER LTR AND DIESEL AND COOKING GAS AS SO. NO ONE CAN STOP THIS SITUATION WE HAVE MAKE OURSELVES READY FOR ALL THIS FORTHCOMING SITUATION . NEITHER THE GOVT. NOR THE MINISTERS NOR THE PEOPLES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS , MAJOR FACTOR RULING THE INFLATION/ PRICE HIKES ARE DUE TO GAP BETWEEN DEMAND AND SUPPLY
