I can remember the lowest price of diesel@rs3.07per ltr& @14/-per ltr of petrol most probably20/22 years back,at that time price hike would effect me & my friends,now a days price hike do not make any tention to me, i think all subsides,in oil& gas should be withdrawn,all buyers must suffer,but gradully it will come easier&there will be no tention in future,it will end of cancer,simonteneously use of cng should be encourage it will help to decrease polloution also.
in 1992 i paid Rs 9/- for a litre petrol, now in 2008 its 55/- so its a hike by 6 times in 16 years..!! but in 1992 a fresher engineering graduate was earning 4000-5000/- per month so multiplying by 6, it comes to be 24000-30000/-. i think thats what a fresher of engineering graduate gets today as a starting salary..!! so its all same........ cost is not a panic....

Hello Engineer which company paying you 24K to 30K per per month... any way look into other people also... whose salary is just doubles from 1990 to now... (like teachers, other govt employees)... got it...
We got our FIAT 1100 from TVS show room on 21 Jan 1961.On that day cost of petrol was Re.83/00 per liter.We could fill the cars 36 liter tank for less than Rs 30/00 ! !
