There is no much distance from India becoming another Zimbabwe which holds one of the highest inflation rate in the world. Taxes are levied on the essential commodities and these guys are tryng to wash the face of farmers and villagers. Most of best products are exported for a better foreign exchange. We are left to live with the remaining Neither this FM or another fellow who is going to become FM of some other party is goin to do the same thing only. None of them are concerned about the middle level people. Nearly 65% of the Indian family comprises of this middle level only.

what rubbish!!!!!!.the petrol increase in a worldwide problem.its also being increased in the Middle East so deal with it.this is not the end of price increases there lots more to come incuding food electricity water etc many countries have already started hiking prices in these areas there's very little goverments can do to ease the situation.families around the world are middle class do u think its only in India???? there's toughertimes ahead so all luxuries are to be forgotten
I remember having paid Rs.7/- per litre way back in 1983-84 in Pune when I was studying in engg college.Any increase would be in paise say 20 paise or 28 paise and was assumed big those days.
I Rember in year 1989-90 i get the 5lts petrol in Rs.45...Now I will get 1 ltr petrol at the cost of Rs. 56/- Unles govt will not control their consumption and expeness..price never be go down and most imp thing we are paying 52% tax on petrol... Another most important thing Govt earn maximum taxex on petrol and liqure/tabcoo.

Will you believe Rs 1.90 per litre in India in 1972? In the US in those days it was about 7 cents per litre and this could be calculated as approx 50 paise per litre as 1 USD was Rs 7.50! Oh those were the days my friends, we thought they would never end!!!!!
The lowest i have paid for petrol is Rs 1.18.ps in 1973 in Delhi.I used to get 4 ltrs of petrol with Oil for my scooter. I remember because after paying a Rs. 5.0 note we would get back 28 paise AND if the bunkwala gave us 25 paise we would argue to get the 3 paise also !! This 28 paise was my youger brothers Pocket money for cleaning the scooter every 3 days !! 'WOH DIN BHI KYA DIN THE"
i used to pay 9 rs. for my luna when i was in 9th grade and used to run all the month with the month..only when it empties i used to get money for filling my next litre.
