Get rid of Housewife employees
by tapo on Jan 31, 2008 05:56 PM  Permalink

companies like TCS, Infy can save money if they kick out housewife employees who do nothing but chat on the phone about their sons drinking milk at the day care centres, are fat and ugly and delegate all the work to freshers and take credit for everything.

Can TCS Hike the salaries when dollar is at 44 rs after some time
by samuel kumar on Jan 31, 2008 05:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The answer is no this is only to suatain in market growth place on QonQ

Or else in q4 you can see TCS share will fall to another 10 to 20 % down.Which will gives the negative Impact on the Brand.

Surely if there is no hike TCS cream will move to American companies who in turn offer 50% Hike on the current Pacakage.

Now a days brand wont work out .

Its purely on pay package.

Any comments

Thanks
Sam

Even if they cut salary...there are millions still in the Q to join TCS...

Dont worry management,u go ahead with this cut and levelling works..there wont be any problem for u..but u can put up ur revenue many folds...these guys dont have any other option out of IT..they dont know any other works to earn...or you moulded them to this stages..so they will stick on IT only...means thry will keep on changing btw companies..thats all..better option is to hire freshers for lower wages and train up them propoerly...just like NTTF

To my knowledge TCS employees have good education standards. If you don't get the chance in IT sector doesn't mean that the whole field is junk.

cutting is not a solution
by Abhi Soni on Jan 31, 2008 05:53 PM  Permalink

Hi all
TCSer are not feeling heat of global situation but they are feeling heat of their own higher management. Actually results-profits-expected growth needs proper study of global situation and speculation. sometimes higher management released all GOOD FIGURES just to confirm that they are TOPPERS. but actually these type of news shows the actual picture of the company. At the time of results they say we are going to hire XXXXXXX people in this quater. But all the reports-results-press releases are like BIG SHOW OFF... in reality original employee are paying the cost.. I would suggest the BIG SALARY CUT of higher management of any company which is failing in achieving set targets. coz all the targets and results are not a product of real low level employee who are paying the cost. Compaies also think about cutting costs in all rest of expances than cutting costs by SALARY CUT.

TCS is already having a dubious distinction of paying poor salary. Now with salary cuts, IT people will have to adjust with pickle rice, bread and cornflakes at onsite also. And in India we may not be able to afford cars/bikes, shopping malls, multiplexes etc. We have to depend on RTC buses, kirana stores, rythu bazaars etc. Better to quit company

Mr. Rao, may be you can try some other jobs. IT people are only a smaller fraction when the total work force of India is concerned. I too agree with Ganesh Kris on his views, after all RTC buses aren't that bad, if you weren't an IT guy you would have traveled in those buses. Do creative criticism. All the best for finding a new job.

99.99% population is still using are not be able to afford cars/bikes, shopping malls, multiplexes etc. We have to depend on RTC buses, kirana stores, rythu bazaars etc. atleast by salary cuts of IT people prices will come down (real estate etc)

IT menace
by gaurav arora on Jan 31, 2008 05:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi folks ,

This is only the variable salary that is getting reduced.I am not sure how much percentage a variable salary in IT profession to the technical guy is given because i believe it will not be much as it is more prominent in sales and marketing division. The companies hardly give these variables to Technical guys as they always keep on crying for losses and the second thing they will do is a cost cutting and interestingly the first cost cutting the HR guy(I hate some of these so called intelectuals) will do is to ask the staff to recycle the pages for printing as if he saves millions in these and will revive the company from a major brink of loss.
