RE:Tech or Non-tech

If you talk to HR for an hour, you lose 1/3rd of your reasoning capacity. You begin to wonder "why in the world is this idiot paid so much?". At least in my experience, I have!
IMO, A good boss should have the following qualities.
1. Should be fair , always. 2. Appreciate good work. 3. Should work closely with "not excellent" people and try to find out why they are not as good as others. 4. Never ever take credit for the good work done by others. If the team output is more ,if the team comes with new idea , team boss should also be given credit by the upper management. 5. Never lick upper management , that would have a bad impact on team members. 6. Always lead by example.

Come On.... If he start doing all these then he will not be a Boss.... Or should I say If he would have been doing all these he would have never been the Boss...

It is only stating the obvious to say that sales numbers matter for an employee to remain in his/her job- if the attitude of the boss depends on achieving sales targets what is the purpose of the boss? The idea of leadership itself is to inspire, encourage and enrich a reportee.
Sales bosses have a tougher role because they need to be a good and effective boss in the face of meeting tough numbers.

Correct. Old saying: When somebody resigns it is primarily because he wants to part ways from his boss and not the company.

I am an Telugu guy but worked under a tamil manager, he is excellent, he always supports me. He appreciates when we do good things and tells if we make any mistake. I like him a lot. he is still with HCL from last 12 years.

U WILL BE ALWAYS GOOD WITH GOOD BOSS WHICH IS NORMAL, BUT TO PROVE GOOD WITH A STRICT AND STUPID BOSS IS VERY DIFFICULT.
