The wrong part is that (physically well built and powerful) lady reporting officer in the Times of India was intimidating, completely brain-less but a sychophant, so managed to hold her job, (and continue to physically intimidate and threaten her reportees)
It is very tough to work for a boss who plays favoritism. Such people exaggerate everything their favorites do and play down the achievements of everyone else. Unfortunately, you (for obvious reasons) can't explicitly say it. Life sucks when you're under such people.
Well i think its just a method of being able to meet bosses expectations and knowing how to handle him. In my short work exp of 1 year I've never had any problems with my boss...my colleagues however keep on complaining abt him

It depends not only on you on the boss.. If the boss is sadist/egoist what you will do,.
Every One has got a boss above him... The best Boss is a Boss who knows when to say and have the balls to say 'NO' to his / her Boss is the best boss in my view
Real boss hardly cares for these things. In private companies he has targets to meet. He has no time for others' feeling. In government sector, he is too busy to make money.
There are many bad bosses every where. Just full of ego and zero in knowledge. You know the ad thing about this bosses at India is they are full of language mania..if some one speaks there language they will blindly support them. Bosses had developed stragedities to show false figures to thee USA bosses to save there seat. Ask any HR the reason of attrition..they will answer PERSONAL PROBLEMS... one last thing..NO ONE LEAVES A COMPANY THEY LEAVE THE BOSSES.
