PhD issue
by james puthussery on Jan 20, 2008 08:21 PM  Permalink

You should also remember that to get phD one has to spend all his youth. Also consider that there are a lot of phDs who are employed in industrial sector. What about their case? They wont be able to publish in any of the journals. If you are trying to make the life of phDs more harder nobody is going to pursue higher studies in science, since there are many opportunities that help you to earn more money and recognition

Old Man HOld Thoughts
by vinit agarwal on Jan 20, 2008 08:19 PM  Permalink

Ram Gopal Ji
PhD Degrees are not similar to Medicines or Eatables. They are studies over a period of years and based on that some conclusion are dervied. Since those data can never expire, the degrees also can never expire
ALso What do you mean by expiry of the degree. so the person needs to do a degree after every some years >> as he grows old when is is 70 or 80, and gains repect becaus eof his earlier contribution, HOW DARE YOU SNATCH HIS WELL DESERVED AND HARD EARNED DEGREE>????????

I AM SHOCKED BY YOUR THOUGHTS

OLD MAN >> HOLD YOUR THOUGHTS

If you had a PHD you would know why it such a stupid idea. After a point in education, it is not about how much you know, but about knowing where to look .... Doctors is a comletely different issue....

I want expiry date for my B.Tech also
by Paramesh Paramesh on Jan 20, 2008 07:42 PM  Permalink

what to say..!! I graduated from a rural engineering college and I have forgotten all of my engineering basics.
That is bcoz the bullocks and cows surrounding the campus were always making noise while the class is going on...!
We passed the exams but forgotten the 'material' :-(((

That is why I am not able to get selected in any IT interviews in Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkatta..!!

So the lesson of the mural is that all degrees should have expiry date which is exactly the same as:( Date of degree issue Years of study in the degree) * 2.0 /1.99

Expiry date of PhD
by sullip kumar majhi on Jan 20, 2008 09:52 AM  Permalink

Ram Gopal Agarwal should focus on how the funds from world bank can be mobilized in India for achiving complete literacy rather thinking to set a expire date for PhD.I really feel pity on his frame of mind.Cool man..think possitive.
