point to be noted!!
by spicy on Jan 14, 2008 07:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The reasons why American journalism is against the Tata Nano are obvious. The Nano was 'not invented here (in the United States).'

sick American mentality,,
just one of few points to note:
thou 33% of scientist at NASA are Indians

I think you are mistaken. It's 33% according to a German magazine. But it's about 5 years ago. I don't think the % will fall to that level any soon

It shows your mannerism. Don't you know how to talk with persons that you don't know. Be polite. Take respect and give respect. I never said you are completely wrong and I even said the figures are about 5-6 years ago.

They use most of worlds cars & power vehicles...
In no way they can blame nano for pollution, it has euro3, 4 as standard,
It is really a revolution in the world of transport, a cheap small and a true value to money...

Yet another milestone from an Indian...Kudos !!
by R Roy on Jan 14, 2008 07:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi, I live in Europe and in almost all the front pages of every daily magazines, there was a pic of NANO and its specifications. Europeans, feel that it will do its best part of all the upcoming countries and now, they are forced to think on thier tank to come up with the competitive product. Indian govt, should reward mr. TATA on this milestone and making India shining in the world map once again..

I believe that your two daughters are learning Hindi and Chinese. I guess your fellow AMERICANS are not as smart as you.

Next, INDIA will invent 4 seat double engine super light weight passenger aircraft for less than $10,000. It might be called TATA WINGS!!!

BTW: When are you going to write a book called 'DEATH OF A SUPERPOWER'. It will help the world historians with your ability to give facts and figures.

media Collusion!!
by jahid ali on Jan 14, 2008 07:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think in this free world even the media is working in some kind of Collusion!! If you look at the pattern of their reporting in Australia( on slamming the punters team) and now in US over the nano ! How come every newspapers report on the same line! nobody dared to differ ! It's not a coincidence that they all reported in the same manner!!

American scribes are correct
by rahul bajpai on Jan 14, 2008 06:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Yep! TATA has no right to behave so recklessly. Producing such a cheap car!!! How dare they!!! Either the world is with America or against them. And now our very own Ratan is against them. I wonder how he is feeling after standing in the league of Osamas.
Never mind Dear representatives of Uncle Sam, we have some Sunitas for your help. Sunita Narain is the Director of Center for Science and Environment, India. She is talking about higher taxation and end of subsidies so that the people dream of owning a car must pay a price. But as always she and other elite get these valid arguments late in the day. Now common man on the street is thinking that she is disturbing their four wheel dreams.
Isn't Nano better than auto existing on Delhi's roads? Is it not better than many big luxury cars used by the likes of Sunita - I mean to say elite? It's baffling; are these people just hypocrites or against common man? The state has already given so much to the rich in terms of subsidies (road usage, parking, etc.) if I go by Sunita%u2019s argument. And now something is going the poor's way and they are concerned about pollution and clogged roads? Aren't those roads already clogged?
Tax bigger cars very heavily and I guarantee these people will book their Nanos; this is how elite in India behaves. Long live hypocrisy!!!

Dont understand one thing why does anyone listens to that lady Sunita Narain at all....cant she see that in India there are lorries and vehicle which are more than 20 yrs old (pre emmission norms era) still running on road and the biggest contributor to polution and she doesnt have any problems with those but when a Euro IV(a notch higher than Bharat 3) compliant car being launched for common man she has concerns for enviroment.

Sunita Narain is a hypocrite, who herself doesnt shy from riding a car. But is scared at the thought of other millions having one.
Oh my dear Sunita, if you were so bloody concerned about the environment and the traffic, why dont you show the way by using the public transport.
I would not have the guts to preach something which I am not able to practise, but these hypocrites like Sunita.. they go around the world blabbering and throwing prophecies but dont practice them at all..
Hypocrites !!
