Congratulations Mr FM, you done very good they are really need your attention day by day they are dying, abuser are enjoying by manupulating their capabilty and capacity but our farmers are really victim of heavy rain and other natural disasters, they are helpless, they dont have another source of income, they are hardworker not crook like working in MNC/Govt office and sitting here for minting money, they are not doctor to sell human organ they are not engineers who take bribe from contractor allow mix more sand in concreate mixture, he is not babu taking money he is simply farmer who born to give us crop,All big tycoons from Ambani / sahara/ perless/ Vijay malya those played with system and earn huge money, Farmers are backbone of our economy so this is nothing we support FM for this rebate and encourage him to do more for Farmer
A package for farmer is a welcome move but problem is that in all subsequent budgets we have some soaps fro farmers but still the no of farmers committing sucides has not fallen...unless the govt comes with a plan to connect directly with small and marginal farmers nothing gud can happen to them...role of brokers nd intermediaries should be eliminated if we r serious abt it...
This department has become a gift distribution center for the crooks and cloonies in the name of benevolence and relief.....shame on you the FM.No accountability in distributing the TAX_PAYERs hard earned money for free and laundering the Government Fund like that.PRIVATISE the FINANCE MINISTRY and fix accountability
Its good to give relief to farmers as there sitution is very bad in our so called boosting Economy.they feel so left out in this age of rapid development. But i feel Govt should spend these huge sum in proactive manner.rather that just giving this waiver this money should be spennt on building micro finance infrastructure.helping them to avoid the situation which leads them to suicides.
If you cannot buy good education for children, buy a cold drink for them so that they remain happy in short run. FM and PM adopted this strategy with sharad Pawar and HOODA smiling.

FM said 'one time settlement of loans for other farmers would be an added incentive'. IT IS PERPETUAL MAN.
Unless we Indians understand the concept of smaller government, I find it difficult to be optimistic about a change in our daily lives.
Think about it, - The government is the biggest employer in the country - The government does NOT make any money, it collects money and then spends it in an un-wisely fashion (I am saying that in a very polite way)
We are still living in this seudo-communist state, where we think government is the solution to all problems. When infact, government is the root of all problems.
I will not blame any government here. It is the nature of the Beast. It is not the right institute to solve our nations problems.
Government will always pander to get votes, because it is a political outfit. We need less government and more private firms.
Private firms run on profits, THE BOTTOM LINE. They have benchmarks They are accountable They have to make profits (Share Holder investment) They are LESS prone to corruption They have leadership that is not pandering to any voting block They encourage competition, eventually to the benefit of the consumer They do NOT have reservations They reward hard work They FIRE lazy people
Agree, private firms cannot do everything. The nations defense, Tax collection, Judiciary and some other functions need to be with the government. Nothing more than that.
A bigger government is a recipie for discrimination, exploitation, corruption and FAILURE.
They are anyhow not going to pay it back. These farmer guys are a big burden on India. In America 1 crore people (out of 30 crore) are engaged in agriculture in India 70 crore are engaged in Agriculture ( out of 100 crore)
American farmers produce 10 times as much food as produced by Indian farmers.
