How come your gross income be 1.90L? As your package is 7.72L. And what that "Less:Income declared: 4.40L" mean? Please share with us.. so that we can also save income tax...

A Budget for Farmers and Lower Middle Class - Well done FM.
by Fredy on Mar 02, 2008 05:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This budget is a life saving drug for the farmers and a pain reliever for the lower middle class people. Well done FM you have prooved that you are an expert of Indian Economy. Loan waiver for farmers and increasing the threshold limit for IT will be welcomed by all these people.

However, we are expecting more from this govt. as our favourite former FM Mr. Singh and present FM Mr. Chidambaram are able to deliver to Indian economy.

Our main concern are Infrastructure, education and agriculture sector which needs efficient system / policy for improvement. Please do your best for the improvement of these sectors for an overall development of the country. One N-deal or some IT companies cannt make any difference for India if your basics are strong.

For constructive thoughts on Budget pls email me at fredy30@rediffmail.com. Thanks

you r supposed to pay rs. 2060 as tax.

270000 business income(-)80C Rs. 100000 =170000 gross total income
1. calculate tax on 170000 gti 100000 agri income
2 calculate tax on basic exmption agri income ie. 100000 100000
3. reduce the tax calculated at point 2 from point 1 balance is the tax payable plus education cess

give a man a fish and u feed him for a day, teach him to fish and u make sure he doesnt go hungry again..
the govt should have spend on rural education, irrigation, infrastructure, etc.. to empower the farmer rather than give him free money.. this sends a completely wrong message.
what abt us? who slog our butts off in the cities? do u work any less hard? are our jobs any more secure? is the govt going to bail me out on my loans if my company closes down?

The govt. is not analysing the root cause. Simply waiving off is really foolish. They are not helping the farmers to improve the crops. This is surely an election stunt.
