How much amount one can save for the tax benefit. Previously it was Rs.1,00,000/-.

It is still the same: This 1 lac is under Section 80C

1.5 lakhs you can invest under 80c

my taxable income is Rs. 3.5 lakhs i have savings upto 1 lakh. hOW MUCH I NEED TO PAY TAX??

My annual income is 3.5lakhs? i have savings of 1 lakh. what would be the tax should i pay after deducting all these??

Medical excemption show bills of: Rs.15000
Buy Medical Insurence: Rs. 15000
Conveyance: Rs. 9600
Produce receipts of House Rent: Rs. 40000
If you are a male your IT = 3040
If you are woman you do not have to pay tax.

i am serving in the army. my annual income is around 560000. what will be my tax after standard deduction my saving is crossing 100000 per annum. please sugggest

-100,000
-150,000
---------
=310,000

for first 150,000 = 15000
then for next 160,000 lac = 32000

total tax = Rs. 47,000

if it is less than 150000 then Tax is 0.

it is surprizing that u are getteing STANDARD DEDUCTION of Rs.4,60,000. upper exemption ceiling is 1,00,000/- plus 15,000/- for mediclaim for parents.

you are laible to tax for income exceeding 2,50,000/-.

I'm paying house building loan EMI every month by post-dated-chqs (PDCs) to LICHF.Owing to certain delay in the balance updating of fund in my savings a/c during past mnths,the PDC of current month gets encashed lately by 2-3 weeks time, with prior arragement of LICHF.Therefore I am charged with nominal Additional interest over & above the EMI Intt.Can I claim tax benefit of the Addl Intt.,alongwith EMI Intt.,since it is paid for house building loan repayment.
