Tax Calculation
by Avi on Mar 01, 2008 11:53 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The 30% tax slab in increased to 5lakh. How will be tax calculated for a person earning more than 5lakhs. Flat 30% of his income or 50,000 30% of his income in excess of 5lakhs?
Can someone clarify this....

Boost for Farmers
by Sanjay Chaudhari on Mar 01, 2008 11:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Loan waiver for farmers is good thing. Is this benefit will really go to the small farmers, because the big farmers are so much intelligent and they know how to pick up benefit from the various schmes. I think laon waiver is good for only to big farmers, because they just distribute their land (to show that they are small farmers) in the family to take the advantages.

it is good for small farmers, but if any farmer pay his loan regularly & honestly then it is loss for them coz they already pay honestly in future they will not pay honestly if this typy of KHERATS will come in election year....

Well, waiver of loans for this class of citizens is not "kherat". These people toil through out the year to make both ends meet and do not earn like salaried class who get enhanced DA with increased inflation. And they can not increase the price of their produce which is controlled by the commission agents and the Goverment but they keep on feeding millions but starve themselves. Loan waiver is very much deserved and justified.FM has done an appreciable job though under some compulsions. Despite the fact that there have been loan waivers still majority adheres to repayment discipline.

This is the most silly idea some crack has come up with. U cant fool with nature. Can u plant forests in desert??? Rivers follow a course dictated by nature not man. Better to use tax payers money in rainwater harvesting schemes drip irrigation etc.

Please all budget today, deficit tomorrow
by Robin Mathew on Mar 01, 2008 11:29 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This 60,000,00,00,000 (60k crore) loan waiver is really making me uncomfortable. Where is this money coming from? Is this going to lead to a budget deficit next year?
If the UPA gets the 4 crore votes that it is expecting bcos of this largese and returns to power again, I wonder whether next year the bodget will have increase in personal taxes, increase in educational cess, surcharge on tax above certain limit etc etc.
What looks good today, may turn out to be a monster tomorrow

Budget ya political party ka vote advertisement
by Vayudoot Services on Mar 01, 2008 11:25 AM  Permalink

What a budget. Aam aadmi ko garib banao. Where will the money come from for Waiving of Loans of Farmers. Does Chidambaram know that 70% farmers dont come to the banks for loans. They take from Local Moneylenders. This is only to get votes, cheap publicity, and make the polititians and beauracrats rich. Shame on Chidambaram. Vote ki bheek maang leta, aisa karne se to.Now these goons will point theier guns on heads of aam aadmi and recover taxes from noses. Plus Dacoits are already sitting in Income tax offices to serve them. HOw patetic is our political system and working

THIS BUDGET SEEMS TO WOO THE SUFFERINGS OF THE POOR FARMER AND MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE. I READ MESSAGE FROM MR. SANTHOSH, WHO IS DRAWING 12 LAKHS SALARY. HE IS SELFISH. WE SHOULD SEE PEOPLE STILL DRAWING SALARY BELOW 12000pER ANNUM.THE BUGGET IS ONLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE POOR AND POOREST. IF JUSTICE TO BE DONE- THE RATE OF TAX SHOULD BE INCREASED TO 70% PROGRESSIVELY. TO LEVEL THE DIAPRITY AND DISTRIBUTION OF INCOME. ABOVE 10 LAKHS- 25 LAKHS-40% 25-50 LAKHS -50% 50-100 LAKHS - 60% ABOVE 100 LAKHS -70%. THAT IS RIGHT AND JUST
