Shame - Rs 60,000 Crore Loans Wieved off.
by scorpio on Mar 01, 2008 03:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What message does this give to people n world....defaulting is good practice.

Farmers are already....given loans at low rates....why Wiev-offs ?

If you See reality....No Farmers get Loans....Such Farmer Loans are only given to Political people who Show farm lands to hide their Black money.......

This money will never reach poor farmer......All money will be eaten by corrupt Bank Employess, Govt Employess and Politicians.

Also more than 3 packages and lots of money is been wasted on Minority ?......Why are they been treated specially.......Hipocracy of Congress just.....Congress is such a Moraless/Howard Party.

Agreed Income tax of Salaried People is reduced but this was on the card n Expected....nothing to get too cheered about it.
Overall its very poor budget....Shame to Congress.

While this observation by Scorpio may not represent reality, it does bring out the perception of the common man regarding economic policies and execution.

RE:Shame-Rs.60,000Crore loans wieved off.
The loans against the farmers are not only the cause for suicide. There are many reasons, such as wine addiction, gambling, and quarrel due to these bad habits with the family members are some of the reasons for suicides. But the rulling and opposition political parties for their own political gains, depicted the picture as farmers suicide. The print and cable media also did not focused the real cause of the suicide due to the public and political pressure upon them. The weiver of the loan is not the proper way to settle the farmers. By this practice, the farmers in future after taking the loan will not pay it.

what about standard deduction?
by syed kalim on Mar 01, 2008 03:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

can some one tell me what happens to the standard deduction of 30 k we salaried people were getting? if not then it means, we got nothing actually. take out 30 and add 40... and with this inflation, when we can barely manage our expenses, we have to starve to make compulsory saving to save income tax. The limit should have been more for the salaried middle class which spends more than it earns..

1) 60K crores is serious money....who will pay fot that...we of course...how ..more taxation and at expense of developemnt
2) to whom is it extended to - so called farmers , only a miniscule fraction of people really needing it... those people who have diligently paid interest on loans are made to look like fools here
3) 60k Crores can give you at least 12 huge companies...enough to rehabilate bankrupt farmers...and much more... instead we have a silent approval for more defaults ...shame shame

This is a bullshit and political budget.Shame on PC.not thinking of middleclass peoples who earn hard. This 60k will go into the bullshit political leaders pocket.Instead of that he could have used for building new companies by which many people could have jobs. Also, service tax and other tax could have been reduced for common man.PC is real bullshit!!!!

I agree with your opinion

PC has presented only an election budget & nothing else.

You have rightly raised the point that the farmers who repaid the loan would look like fool now. It seems that they are doing the same thing as they do in reservation.

PC is political. If he could have given 60000 crore in power sector then the shortage of power could have been dealt with.
