dear friends,In my area Farmers have been commiting sueside for last 04 to 05 years, till now they have not been given any help or support, but keeping elections in view in some states and Lok sabha election next year , Congress has done this "NATAK". Till now more than 20,000 farmers have commited sueside what about their families , smoll children , old parents.Nothing nothing and nothing.one more thing, Chidamberam started many things for SC, ST, and Moinorities, what were they doing for last 04 years in order to upliftment of this perticular section of the society.
This budget is a politicly successfull but nationaly very disappointing.

u r correct. This is all Natak of congress.
for last four years chiddu has literally looted the salary class employees & now when elections are near he is giving BHIKH to salaried class.

Congress & left has done nothing from last 4 years.

See the prices of all foodgrains & oil eg Soyabean oil prices increased from 35 to 70 Rs. in Congress/Chiddu raj.

Groundnut oil fm 52 to 80 Rs.
These are all touching sky.

How r farmers will survive with this BHIKH??????

They r blaming BJp as communal but see th

Dear Himanshu, I am of the opinion that farmers themselves can improve their condition and none else. Any other agency can offer temporary help only. I think farmers will have to grow variety of crops on their land to fulfill thier own requirements first. Until they do so, people other than farmers will not realise their importance. Industrialists must understand that food can't be manufactured in factories.
One more thing I would like to share with my fellow citizens is that farmers must become independent of any kind of loan and more importantly always remain independent. I know our farmers are less ambitious and can live happily without urban luxries, but urban can't live without food. once farmers understand this no one can play with their emotions.

farmers loan waiving
by renganathan ramakrishnan on Mar 01, 2008 04:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The loans should be waived only for those who are really affected, not for entire country. The affected places should be identified, if you done so it will not cost this much.

Shame - Rs 60,000 Crore Loans Wieved off.
by scorpio on Mar 01, 2008 03:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What message does this give to people n world....defaulting is good practice.

Farmers are already....given loans at low rates....why Wiev-offs ?

If you See reality....No Farmers get Loans....Such Farmer Loans are only given to Political people who Show farm lands to hide their Black money.......

This money will never reach poor farmer......All money will be eaten by corrupt Bank Employess, Govt Employess and Politicians.

Also more than 3 packages and lots of money is been wasted on Minority ?......Why are they been treated specially.......Hipocracy of Congress just.....Congress is such a Moraless/Howard Party.

Agreed Income tax of Salaried People is reduced but this was on the card n Expected....nothing to get too cheered about it.
Overall its very poor budget....Shame to Congress.

RE:Shame-Rs.60,000Crore loans wieved off.
The loans against the farmers are not only the cause for suicide. There are many reasons, such as wine addiction, gambling, and quarrel due to these bad habits with the family members are some of the reasons for suicides. But the rulling and opposition political parties for their own political gains, depicted the picture as farmers suicide. The print and cable media also did not focused the real cause of the suicide due to the public and political pressure upon them. The weiver of the loan is not the proper way to settle the farmers. By this practice, the farmers in future after taking the loan will not pay it.
