Good that you have those guts. But becomeing a minister requires lots of follow ups and then guts too. Why nobody knows your name? Its it that you just dreams a lot (similar to above). Reality is different my freind.

some wise men here complain about facilities...and compare the same with the west given the pittence you pay for riding a train there in india ... u get more than deserved ..if u visit europe you are forced to pay an amount for a 100 km journey to use the loo .. rejoice . you cannot have the apple and eat it too

What's the use?
by Rahul on Feb 25, 2008 10:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Indian Railway was in profit by 3000 cr (?)
What's the use of it? Have we seen any news about bullet train? Accidents have gone down? Quality has increased? But I am sure that Lalu has made lots of assets for himself.

pathetic condition of trains
by joseph didakose on Feb 25, 2008 10:35 PM  Permalink

Recently we had to travel to Pune from kochi by Poorna Express, with kids and aged members. The thirty plus hours in the train was a nightmare.Ladies couldn't use the toilets for the whole journey(Indian male being the adaptable ones could use it with much bad experience). We really wondered whether the authorities dont have a family or if they have they are very fortunate not to travel in these trains. Will the authorities be kind enough to atleast present the passengers a clean compartment for travel?.
Rats where everywhere in the compartments, not to mention about cockroaches and other similar insects.
