If there is a society or a good person from the farmers side..to lead them they can escape from these robbers.
u know in uae the price of 1 kg of wheat is 60 RS and 1 kg of rice is 35 Rs. if the indian farmers can sell their product directly in the foreign market then they get more wealth and they are free from the pooty. thats why i said if there is one to help them to sell directly their agri products in the foreign market or in the indian market that bwcomes a good chance to them. for that a strong wealthy man is needed. because when farmers try to sell their product directly the shop owners will came against this ..surely. am i right? ..
this can be done by the govt. easily..
for this the govt. wants to do one thing..thru the panchayathi rej they wants to collect the products and sell the products..
Subsidy is used by govt. official for their self interest and their industrilist friends. No common man benifits from it. It should be completely removed and the tax and excise structure should be reworked.

really!!!! u might be able to shell out 20-30% more on your monthly budget resulting hike in commodity prices due to rise in petrol , diesel..think of people who earn meagre 1,000 Rs per month living in remotest of area whole community depending upon vehicle to bring them food , ration...its so easy to talk...have u ever eaten only 2 times a day with the meal costing just 5-10 bucks.....it matters to those people .not people like you
I am member of a farmer family in India and a farmer also during the past 50 years. Mr.writer do u know the griveness of indian farmers. All are suffering with money problem.by his hard work he produce the food for all indians. he get only 4 rupees for his wheat or rice. but inthe market it saled for 15-20 rs. It is the justice in India. And farmes are suicide with debts. the shop owners are make mor and more benefits. in kerala the govt. decide to collect the rice at aprice of 8.50 rs/KG. then the shop owners increase the price of rice.. and the union leaders increase the wages to 250-300RS. before the wage of man for a day is 150 Rs.. allare collectively attacking the poor farmers..then suicide is the only one way in front of farmers...what to do...?? suicide suicide..... suicide... benjamin francis

This is exactly correct..the politicians in india ara blind against the 70% people in India
What we understood, 1. the middle class income has gone up by several times in the neoliberal era 2. government and politics are useless and the only solution lies with the privatization 3. market (which is God made) takes care of everything and possess solution to every damn thing and we have no other choice (TINA, as Thatcher famously said once, isn't it?)
Questions: 1. 15 years of market economy: we have 77% population (83.6 crores) earning less than Rs. 20 per day (Report of Government of India, 2007)! 2. Within 1991-2002, the accumulation of wealth is huge but the distribution of it is even more unequal making the life of "aam aadmi" (see the presvious point) in real terms have actually declined (Paper in EPW, Arjun Jayadev, Univ. Massachusetts)! 3. A real calculation shows that the subsidity given by the Government (yes, the Government) to wealthy class is actually huge and remains unnoticed e.g. the TATA group in Singur (W.B.) has practically received a SUBSIDY of nearly 850 cr. (read Ashok Mitra) or how much lifetime road tax a car owner pay (Rs. 300) compared to a private bus owner pay (Rs. 13000) while all the new flyovers are practically devoted to the car owners. Where is the "Aam aadmi" in this subsidization story? And why do you forget to write this while boasting NANO?
So, stop spoonfeeding the mass though evidently the popular media wants us to belive this way. Privatization headed by HEARTY industrialists and no subsidy are no solution either!!!

How many amitabh bachan and Rani mukhergi are there in Indian farmers. 65% of indian people are farmers..ie;near 68 crore. dear writer all of them are amithabh bachan or aamir khaan. What afool you are ...!!!!
Do you know how many indians are karodpathies and how much of them are are farmers...U...BLIND...i think u wrote this by sitting inside an AC room

Guess ur question was misunderstood... I got the point you are trying to make against Amitabh or Shahrukh as claiming to be farmers which is an epitome of selfishness and foolishness.
Once again, rediff has done it. I dont know why, people present data in a way which is convenient to them! Have you forgot that farmers commit suicides? Farmer gets Re. 1 for the vegetable that sells in the market for Rs. 5... Stop the Tatas from making a 1-Lac car (If car is a symbol of being rich).
Mr. Author, get out of your ac-office and take a stroll down the lanes of already tensed and suffering middle class, be it urban or rural!

Madam, while there are Former Suicides in Hundreds there are Farmers [or posing as Formers] cornering all the benefits from the Government laws though they are filthy rich. So what has it to do with the Tata's Nano Car? This is the reality and the FM should do something about it. But dont talk like the destructive Communists and help ruin the country further.
what does the author and the Govt want? That every Indian be a Langoti wearing stone age citizen?Let them prove that the money collected as Taxes both direct and indirect are utilised effecitvely, transparantly and w/o getting swindled by all and sundry in the Govt machinery.Let the Tax payers be provided with the facilities they deserve and then take away all subsidies. Basically, the blame comes squarly back to we the people : 1)We dont have any say on population control. In '47,when India got freedom, out population was 30crores, now its 120crores - 400% growth in 60 years!same land mass, dimishing resources.Yet,anyone touching this very sensitive subject is banished. Its the Uber-rich and the BPL category of people who are responsible for this massive problem. But they are the vote banks too- so,no Govt will touch them! 2)We elect (or let them get elected by our non-participation) corrupt politicians who care a damn for the country. 3)In the rat race for survival,we ignore any form of social obligation and flout rules with impunity. A determined leader with a mission to cleanse the system, arrest the population explotion, annihilate extremism in all its forms of religion, region, language etc and unite the country into a ONE INDIA, a powerful, developed nation, is the need of the hour.Have I been day dreaming, folks?!
RE:who is aam aadmi then?

nicely put...i think we just dont realise the urgency of the situation..specially when it comes to population control.
Farmer vote for the parliament as they know that it is their right. The day they stop voting they will be dead and thrown out of this country. It is their vote which is the reason for their survival.
Any party against farmer has to pay as no middleclass or office executive has gone out and voted in last 60 years.
Rich Farmer's who owns a car can't be a 'common men'. There are so many rich farmers in Haryana and Panjab states who have more then 2 TATA SUMO car in every house and they are not paying any TAX because they are treated as farmer.

Dear friend all poor have a dream. when the poor becomes wealthy...then he buys a car. is it a public nuiscence....no..If the govt. machine is working properly they shuld pay the tax. why should we try to suffer all other farmers(68 crore) about these 50-100 or 100-500 farmers.

These contradictions are everywhere in our democracy. In fact the legislative houses enact laws ond govts offer concessions/benefits discriminating Indian citizens on the basis of religion, caste and sex.Long live our (discreminating)democracy and our (pseudosecular) politicians!
the simple method of capitalistic american herverd, london economics school is totaly monopolisation of whole supply and demand circle and set the prize among cartel,,go to hell common people,,earn big money and compel people and dnot let any scope of other aternative,,, follow the krishana philosophy, without ethics and spiritualism life is like boat without water,,,,whole system is farce,,, pay 50% of your salary on rent,,20% on transport and rest go on fast,,,,,good luck to manmohan singh ji and chidrambam ji,,,
