Bangalore lacks Govt support and infrastructure.
by Girish Pai on Feb 20, 2008 06:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi all,
I am a Bangalorean and proud to be one. But as far as the IT city tag goes, I think Bangalore is losing its position at an exponential rate thanks to the apathy of the govt. The infrastructure has remained the way it was 10 years back and has not grown along with the needs and the population. The fact is though Bangalore has highest paid civilians today in India, as a city it has become one of the worst. I feel really SAD for my city, its like we r destroying it, i dream of the day when we get our GARDEN CITY back to what it was 10 years back. But thanks to the lack of concern and carelessness of our mahaan politicians i dont think this is gonna happen. Thanks to their neglegence Bangalore is rotting every day, its high time we residents of Bangalore come out of this ILLUSION of WORLD CLASS BANGALORE, the fact is our CITY is becoming a VILLAGE, infact villages are gettin better since there is no traffic and pollution. COME ON BANGALOREANS lets join hands and SAVE BANGALORE!

Good to see a people like you, Instead of fighting you are encouraging people to have better bangalore. From morning this fight is Going on for different Kind of Region People.
My View Goes like this which we need to think:
1. Highly pollutade city. Still Administrative didnt implement CNG where Delhi is thinking Banning Diesel Car.
2. Very bad Infrastructure. Road/Lights are pathetic.
3. Crazy Cab Driver. Nor Company/Traffic police handle them strictly.
4. Too much of Corruption. May be crossed the Bihar.
5. No Good Air Port. 45 KM away IP. Will Takes 3 hrs to reach
6. Corrupt Politician.
7. If you are with IT Tag every one try to Chit you.
8. No Traffice sense of People. A software eng to a Cab driver, almost every one drive crazyly.
9. Most of the Building is violated, Still govt is thinking for Regulation. While most of the Other City already had.
10. Everything is too Costly here.

Hope for the Best

The Trivandrum technopark is fast emerging as the hub of IT in Kerala. With its green surroundings and pollution free environment, it is certainly an emerging destination

Trivandrum will never make it to the top 5, cos of the communist government, which opposes each and every move wen ever there is land acquisition. I agree with u that it has good environment, but most of them will prefer a friendly gov. to invest

Few weeks back, Rediff wrote that Chennai is the second largest s/w exporter. Now in few days, it has changed and says its third behind B'lore and HYD. What are they doing, changing their stand every week????

I agree with u, actually Hyd comes in 3rd position after Bangalore & chennai. But the difference in IT exports btw Hyd & Chennai is very minimal. So,u can say they r fighting for the 2nd position after Bangalore

The projects are not against IT projects, but against Manufacturing projects.

IT is booming in Orissa. The projected investment also is wrong.
