The first million $ car, the best looking car... and only car with controls right in middle.... top speed of 376km/h... and of course the rarest of all listed above....

Prashant was referring to a very very popular car named Mclaren F1 (Do not confuse it with the formula 1 team)..i agree with him-Mclaren F1 should make it in the top 5 of any supercar list...it's aspirational value and price tag is perhaps lesser than only the bugatti

Its True the Mc Laren F1 is a production car and a lot of celebrities own it. But it is not the fastest car as far as I know it. And for looks again it is not the best though. But still its name had to be included here. Rediff missed it altogether.

McLaren F1 is the greatest car ever man, no question. But unfortunately it is no longer in production. The cars listed above are still in production, though way out of reach for mere mortals like you and me...but hey...can't stop me from dreaming..!!

Also missing in the list are the Lamborghini Murceilago, Porsche 997 GT2, Alpina B6 & Corvette Z06. These Rediff guys need reporters and reviewers of some merit otherwise this company is doomed.

Except for Ambanis, Ratan Tata, Aditya Birla, and a few others (not more than 7 or 10) can dream of owning any of these, specially the Bugatti Veyron. These cars are not meant for India at all. What these guys have missed out are the Koennisigg CCXR & Mercedes McLaren F1 in this list. Besides the intial price of these cars, the maintenance and petrol make it beyond reach of oil-deficient countries.
Can anybody tell me what is the mileage of this kind of Car ? Increasing the Crude price everyday. What is the sales figure of this kind of vehicle ? I think end of the year most of the Car Comp show loss due to this kind of development which is very impractical in current world scenario ...

my point exactly Das..i have spotted porsches/diablos/ferraris in the streets of conservative chennai recently...perhaps like u have indicated, indians r learning to aspire for performance sports cars....(correlating to ur example of how a few girls r wearing skimpy clothes by taking cues from fashion shows)

My dear you can buy a cheaper but similar to the costly dresses to your GF or Wife but you can't get a similar performane cheaper cars in the market. and after all fashion show dresses are not brough because they are costly but because you GF or wife can not walk without clothes in the street at least in India.
