Land acquisition? What's the solution?
The solution is simple prioritization. Every one should be getting puzzled. We have top brains of the world. But we got the results of worst brains in the world. Is it irony OR Paradox? Nothing; Neither paradox nor irony. It is willful. Every simple person knows PERT / CPM. The Vision /Goal / Mission of the country shall be in the background of a philosophy and model and not strategy. Our vision of becoming super power/ super economic power or any such thing is backed up by any such philosophy or model. Simple example SEZs will industrialize the country or IT will create wealth and there by jobs/services, social welfare spending will keep the poor going and growing upward (fun is it growing numbers of poor or poor growing in their earning status). Is there any researcher who said what we shall achieve with our constraints of people and environment? Did any researcher point out that we are just planning to our resources and not people? What ever the socio-economic and environmental costs and ill effects we shall keep on strategizing the so called development to those resources and if we fear to strategize that we altogether miss the bus and stagnate? I am not able to argue that we are either right or wrong. But, I am sure at least one bright brain of India can look at this perspective. Hey concerned, please understand that Environmental clearance is operational matter and not Developmental model. GS
