Just keep moving in the direction you have chosen.
Your story has inspired several people like me.
Earning a single month's khana pani is no mean task, one realizes this when one tries entrepreneurship :) You have established yourself in one year, that is quite creditable.
This story has created so much controversy already, but keep faith and ignore the cynics.
Iam apreaciating sarath for his hard work. His intention is not to make money only there he won. If you have a aim and hard working mentality you can win always. So don't crazy for money only. I read some of peoples replies below and felt shame.Barking dogs won't bite. Instead of suporting this type of people they will suport a business man or filim stars. They can came up high in the society due to their money and influence. For sarath's case that is not the situation. After reading the article i felt very happy still some people have the mentality to help the low and middle class indians. Also I liked the way you never forget the way you came from. Best of luck. Continue your journey..........that will help the money oriented indians to learn a lesson.
I like the hardworking guys, like the above person. I also experienced so many troubles when i started my career, but the difference is my main object is generate money without investment. Means i started my professional consultancy service, basically i am not a CA, CS but i started my self in providing the services which are provided by these two professionals. Seeing my hardwork and dedication to work two companies had given me the directorship in there companies. To reach at this stage i had done a lot of hardwork. Still also i am thinking in a big way. Even Mr.Naryana murty also faced so many problems when he started his business, my inspiration and my hero is Mr.Narayan Murthy. VK

Every one does KH but hard work always pay, just like your hard work. I am successful (I can say that to my self) commercial photographer, it took me a year of publicity and hard work to get my first commercial assignment. in that first year i had to make do with photographing weddings and parties. it was in one of the party when i was offered an assignment to photograph shirts for the company catalog. And I haven't looked back since then now I get work from all over the world. So don't loose faith in yourself keep pushing what you believe in.
Its heartening to see the progress made by sarath and wish him all the best. However i wished to know how he was able to acheive this feat but disappointed with this compilation. If you are looking for inspiration, you really wish to know how the guy has done it which is missing in this 4page article. Neither he narrated plans he adopted in the past nor he projected his future plans. Btw, I also heard a story of wealthy caterer (now) who made rags to riches story in 80s but just a 5th grader.
If any that mattered in this article - 1. Sarath used his good offices in getting the break with BITS 2. Sarath got cheap loans from his friends to subsidise his otherwise costly loans, which shows he maintained good relationship with his friends

True! I think this may not work well for other people already struggle in this kind of work... because they do not have the IIMa and BITS banner.
When I read this example, I felt timid.. what have I done for India , esp to reduce unemployment. Then light dawned on me..: 1)Whenever I go to ration shop for changes/correction in the card, I have to bribe.. I believe I am paying some salary to those govt karmachari.. so I employ them .. 2)When I have to go to muncipality for water connection etc, they ask me for karcha pani, again I am providing employment to some govt employees 3)I could not get train reservation early this year. So I had to pay bribe to agents, who had blocked all seats on Day 1 itself so we dont have to stand in line but can get from them.. I believe I am sponsoring that person's childrens eductaion for that year atleast 4)I was caught by traffic cop.. yu hi, say signal thoda.. so had to give him chai paani.. I was happy, may be I helped her wife with grocery for that week with that.. again helped in employment 5)My son needs an admission at a kindergarten. Went to the best school, they said give 75K in donation.. Well I said no and went to a lesser known school and agreed for 25K.. Now I realize,. I probbably employed that principal for a month thru my donation 6)My power company charges higher energy bill, shweras everyone else in my building have considerably lower.. when I approached the technician.. he said, kaam ho jayega, 3000 mein.. I said OK, gave him and am worry free for the remainder of the year.. some employment taht for him..

I do dare to declare that we give and take .. not only money, some times portion of name and fame knowingly or unknowingly .. what do sir, situations are compelling us to live 'other way too'
Logically putting a list of real life needs and deeds, our friend 'dare' ... tried to account them as social services { ?/! } to satisfy the questioning inner consciousness of some of us.
This is just the beginning. His thoughts are right for the society .He should continue to think in the right direction.I am sure he can start few more companies that are into essential commodity selling.Need of the hour
Fantastic, being myself an entrepreneur I know what takes a person to achieve his/her goal, however Sarathbabu is a champion not because he hails from a poor background but because he had the courage to ignore MNC jobs to be an entrepreneur with a mervalous mindset, that is to reach out to the poor and upgrade them, I also did it in my own way and thanks to god, we have young achievers like Sarathbabu, and this should continue to put our COUNTRY above the rest of the world.
