I feel pity for people like Sharda who do not understand that a country can develop only when the living standards of people improve...
Dont talk lightly abt the achievements of Saratbabu...What he did is not possible for an average human being. It takes a whole lot of courage and will power to step into an unceratin future when u have a secure future in front of you.It is for ur kind information really a BIG DEAL!!!! Sorry that people dont understand that!!!!

Which hand do you use to do eat? Why don't you use other hand?
One will be what one is expert into. Like you seem to have indigestion with other's success. Why don't you take up what you think is necessary?

For Job creation, Entreprenuer are most important.
by manoj on May 04, 2008 08:11 AM  Permalink

In India we have land, labour, capital. But knowledge and entreprenuer are missing. We need a lot of courageous people like him who can risk their time, effort, money to set up business. That will creat profit for him, job for unemployed. Problem is many people just want to do any small job and live a lezy life. Thats not gonna work if we dream to make india a super power. we need people who can set up business offices/shops etc.
Also knowledge is missing. We have to set up system where if entreprenur want to start business knowledge should be easily available to him about market, product, service etc Then he will feel confidence and start business.
America is richest nation because it provide money, knowledge everything to its citizen who want to start business. And u must know that more than 50% of american are working in smaller business. That generate income for people easily and tax for govt. Then govt. has a lot of money to provide best infrastructure. the cycle goes on. Now china is following same mantra.

Sarat Babu,
by nori murti on May 04, 2008 06:21 AM  Permalink

You are simply great. This is just the beginning. You should do some thing which can generate more job oppurtunities, but no reservations here. Your self determination is the success. Reservations make people non innovative and lazy too

good work
by ben hur on May 04, 2008 04:16 AM  Permalink

however, v not only need enterpreneurs like sarath but also the farmers who can feed the 1 billion ppl. in the present generation, agriculture has lost its charm and every1 wants to do white collar job.
may b by being foodking, sarath can go for reverse expansion (backward integration is the word!) in agri field.

Excellent but hopefully you will have better ideas in future to generate employment
by Rajasekhar Kothapalli on May 04, 2008 12:38 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hi Sarath its excellent achievement. But I really suggest you to target something bigger in future to generate empolyment rather than on food business. Just think. Let say you are getting a contract for 1500 hundred student at one campus, means you took away some bodies employment who were feeding these students before. That means you are not really that much generating the employment, but mostly changing one form of employment to another. Because there are several small business units near every campus who sells food to students. With this you are actually converting these small business units into a one single big business unit.

But in case of Narayana murthy or Premiji the situation is totally different. The raw material for their business is quite innovative. I mean if they didn't get any idea to sell software, then they cannot generate employment. So the raw material for the idea for creating better be new, to create a new type of employment.

Please think hard and I am sure, a genius of you r caliber can come up with something smart.

Stop patronizing this guy. Its easy to talk of ideas. Puleez man, try doing something. Us Indians love to talk a little bit of action is worth a hundred words. Enough said.

Instead of advising others, why don't you do your piece of contribution? Are you living in Utopian World? come on man, did you ever see him or any other who sold/selling idlis on street and try to patronise him/her? nah! people like you will only pull legs of those who are successful. You don't know how much courage and hard faith it requires to leave easy money after being deprived for so long. I have seen it for two years at our campus and beyond that too.
and you have to be best to survive, thats basic biology... its cut throat competition world. If you not best, some body else will wipe you out, stupid.
about Narayana murthy or Premiji.. i don't want to comment.. just one thing.. everybody can't get involve in the same IT/comp profession. World is beyond that too, come on.. grow up.

He used reservation to get studies. he has admitted that in another article/interview. well that is good to see how reservation can be effective,

If you take a caste that comes under reservation, 80 per cent of the people will be poor and 20 per cent rich, the creamy layer. For the general category, it will be the other way around.
and this is true. Resrvations should be balance of both.
