That Barkha Dutt is an overhyped person.Becoz of her, so many Indian soldiers got into a problem during the Kargill war. To show her bravado she went into one of the bunkers and broadcast live feed from there talking to the soldiers. Unfortunately the paki's picked up the transmission and pinpointed the bunkers location. Barkha left after her interview was over and got awards for it - u can guess what happened to the bunker whose location had just been given away.
But will the media ever declare this - this has been quietly tucked away under the carpets.

Let me share an incident of Barkha Dutt. Barka Dutt sas in Nagapatnam in Tamil Nadu during the Tsunami Relief. She was covering Tsunami affected area and to my surprise she was no where to the place where the Tsunami had not affected. She was nicely on an island. She was completely bluffing and fooling people in the name of media. These socialite does not understand the feeling of poor or affected people.
She also had the acemen to cheat all investors in her Ganga Textiles after issiuing the shares on premium. The company never gave any returns to the average investor but Rajshree siphoned off all the money in the real estate ands became a sugar baroness. It is cheating. Now UTI has paid her back.

I guess rediff stops these articles. She seems greedy by this statement "they never understood the complex products they were sold but bought". As a business woman / man if you dont understand it you dont get into it. The case against UTI is just to pass the buck. At the same time appreciate the lady for what ever good she has done.

Did any body know about Ganga General Finance which took crores of public money and returned nothing, all for the personal growth of Mrs.Pathy. Rediff should know the fact first and publish. Please donot fool the people.
her vision to see India on par with leading countries is really appreciable and hope that govt. looks into this matter and gives all its support to this industry
Ignorence is not bliss. Her contention, that she was not aware about the intricacies of the deal, she has entered, do not make her and the entity involved, escape. As she has occupied larger responsibility, she should have been carefull. Take the case of Orchid Chemicals. The promoter lost heavily using borrowed funds for increasing the stake in the company promoted and formed by him alone.... That is it.... learn ... learn.... dont weep then
Inspite of being in one of the toughest industry in India (sugar), where sugar-mill owners have to fight with the government as well as with the growers for a profitable buisness, her work as the CMD of Rajshree sugar is quite appreciable.

appreciate her achievements. unfortunately , not many readers of rediff even bother to read such articles. if there was "saif", "kareena" or shahrukh anywhere in the article there would have been 100 comments posted by now ...

yes I completely agree with you. People out here are happy reading stupid stuffs which do not depict any real life story only reel life story. The women these days are engrossed with K series. They are more interested in watching conspiracies, back biting. They are least bothered to know about womens success.
