I am from Maharashtra and had business connection with Coimbatore, and know of an entrepreneur,Mr.Swami, who started from scratch(He was with the Cheran, The Tamilnadu State Transport Organization and now owns a Metallic yarn business with annual turnover of morethan 250 Million INR,and another company making Solar Photovoltaic cells,such people are the face of Coimbatore,I know of Pradeep Pimparkar

I am from Coimbatore and I don't know,what great achievement's, he had made. From the Laskmi Mills back gorund, they could have achieved much more. HWhy don't write article on Vanitha Mohan , who has done great through Pricol and Siruthulai. Please don't do marketing through Rediff .

wht th hell u know abt her? i m from coimbatore as well & i know wht she is & how capable she is in running a business. World Economic Forum is not like our MGR university to give Doctorate to actors like Vijay... She was named Global Leader for Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum at Davos in 1996... its indeed a great achievement..!! You are talking abt vanitha mohan, yes i agree she is doing a great job thru Siruthuli.. but still she is not tht good in running a business, everybody knows the pathetic condition of PRICOL now.
so dont just comment, know the reality first..!!
Ms. Pathy is definitely on the list of Great Indian women with Ms. Indira Nooyi,Ms. Chithra Chabria, Ms. Kiran Mazoumdar shaw etc..

My native place is pretty close to her Sugar plant at Vaigaidam, Theni Dist. Compared to other sugar bigges like Renuka Sugars, what is that she has acheived. Top line & bottom line growth is not that good & they blame the govt for their growth. What has been the % of CAGR of her company in the last 10 years, she is nothing compared to other female industrialists like Biocon's chief (Mrs. Muzamdar - sorry for the spell mistake) & TVS's MD's wife who heads the Amalgamation group. Article is not good as the ambition or the fire in an entrepreneuer is lacking in her. What has been the diversification strategy of her Sugar plant. Nothing. I am head of a reputed company in Bangalore which is into Services business. I have very good respect for her but the article is not good to state that she has performed exceedingly well. She is no where compared to others who have achieved. Let me know on what parameters she stands better than the recently started company - Renuka in the same sugar space. They have diversified into a major extent into Bio-ethanol manufacturing and are getting into manufacturing or getting into business which can produce clean energy. Renuka was started recently compared to Rajshree sugars.
She must be related to Mr Pathy of LAKSHMI AUTOMATIC LOOKS, Coimbattore, a sister concern of LMW if it so, there is nothing big that she has achieved with all the finacial, business and political backing. Otherwise from where she gets the money and power? This is not an enerprener this enterprener is projected by a big business family. If so what is big that she has done?

Rajshree sugars her family business started by her father g.vardharaj(ex-mp), she have good finacial wealthy & political background (part of psg institution) entrepreneur won't suitable word for her
