And your Part is supporting this very Congress.
The Govt did not have a Magic Wand when they brought in so many additional taxes (especially Service Tax) on so many services. They never had a Magic Wand when they squeezed the middle and salaried class in the first 4 years of their 5 year rule. They never had a magic wand when they blatantly wrote off Rs 60000 Crores of Public money by waiver of Farm Loans knowing fully well that the plight of the farmers will not change. They did not have a magic wand when they did not think of helping the farmer by improving infrastructure.
Yes, Mr, Sibal, the Govt still does not have a Magic Wand!! May be the aam aadmi will have a magic wand in the next elections when he goes in to vote!!!!!!

how much of this 60000 crores will go to the pockets of our esteemed elected representatives? 25%????? After all, they have to fight next election? who will finance it?
Why not uncomplicate things and let the mkt decide while making sure there is no manupulation
bbc says 1/3 of rice in pds is wasted or stolen
let the rupee float to dollar its actual value is close to 35 rs not 40 u will shave inflation by 1.5% cut taxes on crude and let the companies out of subsidy /oil bonds regime stop populism of 2 rs rice and free color tv and nergs and focus on building water canals and irrigation and power plants etc ?? put a PROPER POPULATION CONTROL PLAN and incentivise people with 2 or less children and tax people with more children? Reduce tax burden on aam admi ? reduce perks to mantris and make them account for the work they do and cancel their pension bill? increase babus salary and keep hire and fire regime and accountability policy to cut corruption have a long term policy beneficial to the nation? instead of a cut here a increase there in planning and controlling inflation??

That is the message from Mr. Sibal. The Govt does not have a Magic Wand to do any such thing.
the same kapil Sibbal a joker from Indian Gov has said some time ago that inflation is rising due to changing eating habits. they themselves are not clear what they are talking and whome they are talking... I do not know what our Agriculture Minister is doing if he can get some free time from managing BCCI....we can get some better in coming days

Well it is true that a lot of people in the south are slowly moving towards greater wheat consumption, that is the reason for the wheat prices increasing steadily.
Plus the untimely rains in the last month have resulted in huge amounts of rice cultivation being destroyed. We are in some trouble

true! we are in trouble...but keeping all this in mind... Gov should take proactive action to avoid such scnerios.....but who cares!! when we are waiving off the farmers loans rather then providing good infrastructre for agriculture...and now comes reservation in spite of providing good, economical basic and elementry education to poor...... they are just jokers who are ruining this country from 50 years.....

Problem really is that everyone looks for a quick return on investment whether it is the government or private sector. No private sector is willing to venture into agriculture, contract farming in India is not considered.
As for the government they will only raise and work on issues that will ensure some mass wave of voting in their favour, say some regional issues or goodies

if we have a govt where the PM is a puppet and a foreigner lady is the super-prime minister.......and on top of tht......ching-chong communists barking at each n everything that is for the betterment of our nation.....then, rising prices n inflation is just a result of the amateurish voting of the citizen of our nation.......
agreed that during BJP's rule, india was not shining as it was being projected, but atleast we were on the right track.....since this UPA gove took over.....and that too with the communists as their backup....things had started going haywire......
its appaling that a political party that has just 2 states to boast of, can dictate national policies n influence decisions......its a shame that our govt is buckled down by these communists every now n then.....and our GDP is going down.....!!
guys, its high time that we throw this govt out......atleast these ching-chong communists shud be voted out as badly as possible....india wants to grow, people want development, but with these negative forces operating and influencing our political system.....this goal does not seem to be realistically possible to achieve.....ALL RISE....!!!
yes...govt. really has a magic wand to curb the prices. One of the easiest way to solve a problem is to raise a bigger problem. So..govt. has already raised a bigger problem..by doing 27% reservation for OBC. wHO CARES FOR THESE SMALLER THINGS OF PRICE RISE..
The pathetic state of governance and stifling bureaucracy and rampant corruption is what is responsible for the current state of agriculture in this country. Farmers are a god forsaken lot in this country. Agriculture has been neglected for too long just because no amount of goodwill by the government results in the benefits reaching the people who really need it.
It is believed that if proper measures are taken to bring the entire Gangetic plains of UP, West Bengal and Bihar to productive levels of the west, it would be enough to feed the population of the entire world.
I read the Business world edition of 30th March. Really good articles on what is amiss with our current agriculture system.
