Are you referring to "forward trading" or "online trading"? It is a good communist slogan to blame trading for inflation. However, any examination of this problem will show that trading, including forward trading, has a moderating effect on markets.

If you want to avoid all this, it is best to scrap all markets and install a Soviet-style Stalinist government. The question is, will it work in this day and age and do people have the stomach for it.

You are wrong! There are three major reasons for the high inflation!1)Removing all incentives and tax sops for savings is making people to spend more creating supply side problems.2)Implementation of too many infrastructure projects simultaneously by state govts pushes uo prices of Steel, Cement etc resulting high inflation 3) Global oil price and resultant price raise.Online or forward trading has nothing to do and only ignorant Commies will oppose it!

SUBSIDIZING THE DOLLAR
by jeffpatel on Apr 11, 2008 12:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The reserve bank is buying up billions of dollars of a currency fast becoming worthless whils%u2019t all other major countries are letting the dollar slide heavily - in effect we are sending out thousands of crores of goods at throwaway prices for American consumption, creating artificial shortages in this country. THE PERSON BROUGHT TO BOOK FOR THIS SNOWBALLING CRISIS SHOULD BE THE RESERVE BANK GOVERNOR.

Yes! We should sell our products only for Indian Rupees or, better still, Russian roubles. It may be an even better idea to stop foreign trade altogether.

Milk Prices
by Garv Mehra on Apr 11, 2008 12:04 PM  Permalink

Its mentioned above that Milk prices reduced by 1% last week, but the shopkeepers havent lowered the prices after they increased the milk price substantially in the prior week. For rich is not an issue, for middle class its a cause of concern, but for poor its miserable. They are so many small chidern who are deprived off milk because of these substantial price hikes..We need to unite and take some steps towards this price hike..

Just like the UPA is blaming the NDA. The cycle is endless. The next big bout of inflation will come when the 6th Pay Commission's recommendations are implemented.

I agree with you and there is no assurance. Our countries politicians and politics is almost same. But if you see the history, this Congress is really good for nothing, they just ruin the country. May be if they're in the power they'll make our country like Somalia some day. Don't know this could be the policy of all parties, they all are same. Only want to maintain the creamy/reach layers of people.

inflation
by rajendra hegde on Apr 11, 2008 11:54 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All over the world people believed that Computers and softwares will feed us. Hence the farm sector is totally neglected. Very migour allotments are made for true development in terms of infrastructure on soil and water conservation, improving the farm productivity by attractive prices to farmers produse like that. Dr manmohan singh has to learn a lesson from Sri Narendra modi. The farm, income during his time has trippled in Gurath mainly because of investments in farm sector and soil health improvement. Such measures only will help curtailing inflation and incresae the farm supply. Loan waiver free rice and TV etc are the total foolish programs being run by UPA and partners at the cost of self respect for the farmers.

No one ever beleived that computers and software would feed us. These sectors were successful because the Government did not understand them and could not control them.

No one seems to be bothered about the money wasted by the PSUs and all government sectors. They are the real cause of our misery.
