A political Gambit
by Raja on Nov 18, 2008 05:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

As usual its a Political decision using the old strategy of DIVIDE & RULE. This is very shameful of CONGRESS & especially of Manmoham Singh & Sonia Gandhi. I pity them & their thought process & the catorie around them. This will make us go to civil war soooner or later. it is unfortunate that politicians ar eusing this to create the big divide again & i pray that all like minded INDIANS get together & thrash these "leeches of all parties" out of power. Lets start questioning them about the basic issues & make them do some productive work.

This is highly unrealistic to ask them questions & make them work productively... The realistic fact is that there should be rational thinking by the civilians & they should use the very right of democracy, keeping in mind the unbiased decisions... The very right is to use your 'Vote'.... How many of us really give votes & if we give how many of us give votes to the right person?

Ask this question to yourself!

root of problem, over population, not balanced develeopment only big city and some states like gujarat, maharashtra developed. situation to be developed that all the states invite people from outside to work.

this main probelms given cause of many problems, law and order, protection of all the people in state. Politician and enlighten citizen sit together and address the right problem and to find solution.

In any case govt state and central should be very strict to any body who creates law and order problem and effective law should be encted to dealt with hoolignisam and who destroy privat and public property. should be given miniumum 10 years hard jail to teach the lesson.

JOB QUOTA FOR MAHARASHTRIANS
by VAIDYANATHAN BALAKRISHNAN on Nov 18, 2008 01:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

WHY IS IT THAT RAJ THAKREY UNDERESTIMATING HIS OWN MARATHI MANOOS? ARE THEY NOT CAPABLE OF GETTING
A JOB ON THEIR OWN INDIVIDUAL MERIT - BE IT SKILLED, UNSKILLED, SUPERVISORY, MANAGERIAL, AND PROFESSIONAL? WHY IS IT THAT THEY MUST BE UNDER A "QUOTA"? WHEN HE HIMSELF IS UNDERESTIMATING HIS MARATHI MANOOS WHAT GOOD HE IS GOING TO DO THEM? ONLY BY WAY OF SHOWING THE STRENGTHS OF THOUSANDS OF MARATHI MANOOS PUT TOGETHER TO RANSACK OFFICES AND DAMAGE THE PUBLIC PROPERTIES AND BY GOONDAISM.

WHAT A SHAME FOR A COUNTRY LIKE INDIA FOR ALLOWING THE LIKES OF RAJ THAKREY TO FLOURISH?

THERE IS NO LAW THAT CAN STOP THIS MAN.

WHAT A TRAGEDY FOR INDIA. THAT INDIANS IN INDIA ARE NOT FREE TO MOVE AROUND AND LOOK FOR JOBS AS PER THEIR CALLIBRE?

WHERE IS THE MIGHTY INDIA LEADING TO?

POLITICIANS THINK AND ACT.

AND ACT FAST.

Re: JOB QUOTA FOR MAHARASHTRIANS
by Sameer Desai on Nov 18, 2008 05:48 PM  Permalink
Mr. Vaidyanathan,
The quota is required because people from other states are using unfair means to secure jobs for people from their own state. UP/Bihari politicians either create government jobs in UP/Bihar or favor their state people in appointments at all levels in government jobs.
Maharashtrians to a large extent have been fair and have accomodated people from other states, hoping a symbiotic existence. How else can you explain that maharashtrians form less than 50% of the city now!!!!
But off late, this very fairness has created survival issues. Please note, the educated class / managerial class amongst maharastrians are not asking for reservations as they have the confidence and ability to compete against others, not only against the best in India but best in world and this has been widely demonstrated. It is the question of the poor average naharashtrian, who has no relations in the railways & banks / insurance and cannot compete with the nepotism in these institutions.
What maharashtrians are asking is fair play, nothing more.
Regarding those who malign maharashtra and its people, I challenge any bihari who is leaving in Mumbai to leave mumbai and decide to settle in Patna. The very fact that he has come to Mumbai, is because Bihar is a leaving hell. There is no respect for individuals and goondagiri is the state occupation. My earnest request to all is please work towards developing your own state so that we can have a better INDIA. JaiHind!! Jai Maharashtra!!

Dear Mr Desai,

Are you an Indian first or a Maharashtrian...pls clear. Also you talk about the educated class being competent then prove it thru IAS,IES,IFS, IPS, IIT's & IIM's.
Also do u say that Maharashtrians accomodated people from other states, if u are an indian then you shud be ashamed of this statement.
And above all you, Mr. Raj Thack & MNS you all are taking pride in the industrialized state of Maharashtra. I must tell u that we also take pride in the same as we consider this to be a part of India.
Also if everybody starts thinking like you then i must tell you raw materials for industries, power & food for you comes from other states.

Shall Maharashtrians be asked to produce their own power, own raw materials & food in maharashtra. You guys will starve of hunger....i muste make it clear. Can you drink the salty water of Arabian Sea. Let me tell you that Maharashtra is great because it is a part of INDIA and not vice versa.

Jai Hind

An Indian from Delhi

Why our system not acting quickly to grab these marathi militants and their commanders in chief. set these marathi militants behind bars and prosecute under the sever sections for hanging them so that no indian should become militant.

Its an irony!
by Guest on Nov 18, 2008 01:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I see it as a complete political decision from the Maharashtra govt. Its just for votes.

If you talk about 80% employment from Maharashtra then what about the upmost priority of MNCs to enter in India. Their priority is to get the skiiled resources. May be that MNC set up its plant in Maharashtra but cannot take resources more than 20% from other states! Hence, not capitalizing their objective of doing business in India. Therefore, 20% companies will stay in Maharashtra & 80% companies will set up their further plants in other states.

I feel its an idiotic move by the politicians. Quite shameful!

Congress is a short sighted party. They have always taken political decisions. They are supporting Raj Thackeray and Lalu Yadav for the same reason - to usurp power at any cost. The true deshdrohis are the congress party members.

Chak De India
by srini vas on Apr 16, 2008 09:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear Indians,

I wish YashRaj & SRK (they truly deserve the Bharat Ratna) help India by remaking & releasing Chak De India in web, all TV networks, cine halls in the umpteen languages we have - especially for the President, PM , MPs, Ministers, MLAs, SC Judges, IAS, IPS and Politicians etc in their mother tongues .

15-8-1947: Since that date we have had almost a dozen 5 year plans; 10year/ 20 year/ 25 year vision/ missions and the developments in quota reservation, criminalization of politics (or is it the other way?), sons of soil fighting over night soil etc is there for every one to watch.

I wish we Indians take inspiration from countries like Singapore, U.A.E, Japan etc. If people like Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda are insufficient to inspire & transform this country, we and our country do not deserve to exist. Please remember- history repeats and re-repeats for those who have not learnt it. Please try to recollect %u2013 not so long ago -since about a thousand years our country and country men were ruled by every one. Do you like that to repeat?

Let the learned, good and the wise of this great peace loving country stand united to fight the people & activities dividing the country %u2013 religion, caste, regional, linguistic fanatics etc.

I wish all the great youth of this great nation propose to do away with states based on language & quotas based on caste. These are good enough to dig the nation%u2019s grave.

Please make every sincere effort
