Inflation
by sisir majumder on Apr 01, 2008 10:43 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The finance minister, P Chidambaram has taken the temporary steps to combat Inflation. He is trying to treat the patient not the disease. The Inflation can be checked by providing irrigation facilities to the farmers and proper administrative measures to uplift the standard of living--Only loan repayment policy will not solve the problem. The permanent solution of the problem rests on the improvement of Infrastructure and improvement of the Economic condition of the poor farmers.

Everybody wants a Bhagat Singh to lead our country. But everybody also wants it should be from the family of our neighbours. Do not wait. Be a Bhagat Singh. Our country and countrymen are trapped by our politicians.

Government unveils measures to fight inflation
by Hebbar R on Apr 01, 2008 10:19 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The sincerity of this Govt can be judged by the fact that they did nothing against price raise till the Left and the BJP started protesting.

Only time will tell if the steps taken results in any change. But, it is clear that the Aam Aadmi has to bear the brunt of the inflation and rising prices.

1. Pray that it stays that way and be happy; though they have started the old gissa peeta Kashmir record again.

2. In the meanwhile enjoy the daily 'breaking news' from NMS and SS who are filling the void.

Chidu's Logic
by Manali Thomas on Apr 01, 2008 10:07 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr. Chidambaram has done a good job now. He knows the pulse of aam adadmi and banned pulses to be exported. He should also include Mangoes, onion and potatoes in the banned items for export. This will flood the market with these items and reduction in prices are inevitable.

Prices have gone so high that common man cannot afford the essentials like rice, potato and any vegetable.

The way Chidambaram has done is really appreciative.

PC knows the pulse of the aam aadmi? what a joke. One doubts if he (and indeed this Govt itself) knows the meaning of the aam aadmi!!! His policies in the last 4 years are a testimony to this.

Our gove and ministers only look good and intelligent but they have a sinister agenda of keeping the poor intact so that they can continue to govern. In reality all these politicians and IAS are nothing but a coterie of full time crooks. Indians continue to be fooled.

This is a Big Fraud on the public by Congress..
by Indian Indian on Apr 01, 2008 10:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Who unleashed terrible inflation on the public? it is the Congress. Then why this crocodile tears and 'steps to contain inflation'? Chidambaram and Manmohan are not illiterates, they would have known that their policies will result in very, very high inflation. So, there is no use shedding crocodile tears for a crime intentionally done..

Step 1: Just resign; Step 2: Ask your Italian boss to go back to Italy. The infatuation of a young man called Rajiv need not be allowed to make such terrible impacts on a great country like India. Let the impact of that infatuation be ended once for all..
