Keeping happy and retention are not synonymous !!!
by Suman Dasgupta on Sep 20, 2007 02:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Some people tend to think that employers need to make people happy in order to retain them. In fact employees are benefit sucking brats. Once they obtain all the benefits from the current company they immediately change loyalities and jump in for a more lucrative offer.

So retention strategies are more towards creating exit barriers and heavy monetory losses for the employees in the event of they quitting jobs.

Looks like Suman and Alex have to be castrated for commiting sexual harassment of each other. Serves them right! Next time dont attempt these stupid gags here.

Wonder how Allex managed to do this in spite of being castrated earlier for the same mistake. Looks like the orders were not carried out properly. So, Suman, please find out and report to us if Allex was properly castrated this time around

Most of the companies treat employees as slaves
by chella krishna on Sep 20, 2007 01:18 PM  Permalink

The article written caters to 1%. The rest 99% does not enjoy even 1/100th of what is written. Skilled manpower is easily available and there is stiff competition outside, so employer does not need to give incentives or benefits to keep employee happy.

This article is just a bakwas and caters to only top tier management.

You have 1500 CEO, so whenever company wants to do layoff it is easier for them as CEO will be the first in the line of fire, as they are the highest paid emplyees.

EMPLOYEMENT IN INDIA
by Harendra Bhatt on Sep 20, 2007 01:14 PM  Permalink

IN THE PRESENT ATMOSPHERE INDIA HAS GOT A VERY LARGE WORK FORCE ;TECHNICAL , MANAGERIAL , COMMERCIAL & FINANCIAL.THE EMPLOYERS SHOULD SEE THAT THE INDIANS ARE VERY MUCH PROFESSIONAL BUT THEY HAVE THE INDIAN TOUCH OF FAMILY LOVING AND RESPONSIBILITY TOWORDS THEIR PARENTS. THEY ARE WORRIED FOR THE FUTURE OF THEIR DEPENDENTS .
NO DOUBT INDIANS ARE BEHIND A HANDSOME PACKAGES BUT THEIR JOB SATISFACTION TOTALY DEPENDS ON THE SATISFACTION OF THEIR FAMILY . SO THE EMPLOYERS SHOULD MAKE POLICIES WHICH SUIT INDIAN SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE .
