Sri Rahul Chandra intends to be icnoclastic about the routines of slotted courses , Models , Statistics, and Business-Cycles or sundry Discourse Managerese of Men ,Materials and Moneys, ordinarily touted as the grist to the Mill of Business leadership in Contemorary Corporate performance. It is roubust commonsense and self -denying detachment that marks leadership in all human Endeavours, be it War, Science , or Politics..or corporate -engagements.
Not for nothing does Max Weber an astute student of institutions studied Bureaucracy and spelt its Leitmotif.as Camraderie of the team,
hierarchy, and concisely laid obligations & Rights to one's role and Status in the System.
A straight forward advice of Leadership was provided by trainer of Officers of Colonial Army in 1931 by Field marshal Philip-Chetwode

For any leader, business or elsewhere. He has to feel very very passionate about the cause, the product/service he is offereing. How is this product helping more and more people live a better life. What else can be done ? what else ?
Only those kind of thinking prduces result that make difference in people/customer's life. and then income and growth follows automatically.
Rest is intellectual discussion.

Not to take away the fact that Rahul Chandra is an MBA graduate from Haas, this article is quite poorly written. The topic is '5 attributes of executive leadership'. The 5 attributes have been summarized in 7th paragraph. Everything above and below it has got nothing to do with the central idea of the article.

Thanks
Ashish
ps: I still agree to all the points made in the article. I am just criticizing the structure of the article.
