Issue of passport is India
by Sandeep on Sep 17, 2007 10:00 AM  Permalink

If we read the instructions displayed at Passport office carefully, take pains to fill up forms & attach required documents, I think, it is quite simple. I quite often get my passport renewed & normally get it in 4-5 days. Beware, do not follow agents. They always misguide & say that they need to pay officers. Actually, they can only reach up to desk clerks who have no authority. In Pune passport office, Agents are not allowed to enter inside the office. If you meet the officers (for which you have to wait in Q, the officers are very cooperative & ready to help you. They will explain you how you can get your passport faster in an official way.
Those who claim to get passport in 1 hr or 1 day in other countries, should compare popullation of countries, infrastructure available to Govt. offices, number of applications received per day etc.. It is very easy to criticize.
Definately, the processing at passport office has improved & there is lot more scope to improve further. Let us appreciate what has improved so far & not get carried away by the fashion of criticizing Indian offices..

by owais khan on Sep 16, 2007 12:03 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i am working in saudi arabia, i see here passport is being issued within 24 hours, no police enquiry, no vigilance enquiry, why we have these formalities,i think if we have one computerized national id card, this problem can be solved and delay can be avoided.

Who siad we need to bribe people for passport.

And why people are afraid of paper work. Its done only for our security.

I got my passport on urgent basis within 5 days from application. No bribe nothing...

Just read the application process get all your documents thats it. You will get passport within 5 to 7 days in Tatkal Scheme. And no body abuses you.....or ask questions

Why do you want to betray India
by manish patel on Sep 15, 2007 11:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I dont understand people who are crazy about going abroad and working for foreign countries. Nobody thinks about India .But they call themselves patriotic and tell others off. They work the same old british people who openely tell them brown breads and ruled us for several years . Why they have double standard now. anyways Indians are double standards which one of the english guy told in one the movies. so now i think why the world looks us like this. And whatever america does our people copy and like to do exactly like them. may be they even pee how the americans do . Why what for to who we are fooling and at the same time we talk about jai hind etc. kya baath hai .

Its though not simple but if not money, its the ease of living which attract most of us.
Because I do not have to "pay" and wait to get my alien id. Because I do not have to pay for getting my driving license. Because The cleaner comes every day and clean the lobby of building with out asking for baksheesh. Because Policeman will not stop me to search just to make some fast bucks. Because even if its a work in govt office and i need some thing, they do it as its there duty. They are public servant not the government servant.
U talk about crazy for going outside, i have one word for you "Ignorant". Once u r out, you will come to know what a good life is.
As per question of "Patriotism" is concerned, almost all of us want to see India stand at same level and many of us do some thing or other to make it happen and then comes our rowdy government ministers who eat up all.
Yeah yeah yeah.. we need to learn how American, or the country where we live, Pee too because at least we can not pee just like that on side ways or any corner we find easy to get us relieved.
Grow up and see the world around you.
