Premji - we should be proud
by sri on Sep 12, 2007 03:14 AM  Permalink

Premji is a truly great Indian and we should all be proud. Once he was interviewed in the US and asked if muslims were discriminated against in India. He countered by asking if it was possible for him to have risen to where he was had there been discrimination (of the sort that is potrayed by the overzealous media - words in brackets mine).

You foolish hindus..
by Mahendra Pandit on Sep 11, 2007 07:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

you foolish hindus, you take pride in premji (Begani shaadi mein?) and do you know what happens to your brothers in Paki and bangla. I know an industrial house in bangladesh (probably shehgal industries ?!) was forced to convert to Islam. No one rises beyond a chaprasi mostly. And our all assuming cheap ragdhips take pride in collecting their prises by discrediting own community. Have you ever seen a muslim intellectual or secularist ( ! ) condemning their misdeeds? Oh you hindu stuppids.

So how many muslim billionaires are there in America!?

Jealous. I think the west and Pakistan are jealous that Muslims, hindus and all major religions are thriving in india due to its inherent tolerant ethos!

Azim Premji, an inspiration
by Raghavendra R Ravi on Sep 11, 2007 07:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Azim Premji is an inspiration for Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Americans, Australians, Russians and Trofmovs of the world.

It is so wrong to say that he does not flaunt his Muslimness - India does not flaunt Hinduness - in fact it keeps on hiding its Hinduness. It keeps placating other communities for no known reason excepting a deep set feeling of inferiority or indebtedness - both misplaced.

Azim Premji, Abdul Kalam, Zakir Hussain, Azharuddin, Nawab of Pataudi, Shahrukh Khan, Shabana Azmi, ... all receive well merited adulation in India - this is as secular as any nation can be. In fact there is no "more secular" country in the world. 7 centuries of moghul rule should have left a lot of scars in the Hindu psyche - but it did not.

Regarding poverty of muslims - you will find the same % of poor Hindus in India - perhaps more! While muslim poverty is being talked about, poverty among Hindus is not talked about in religious tenor - it is talked about as general poverty. For every act of terror against muslims, you can quote 10 acts of terror against Hindus ( who take it lying down ).

All people would do a favour to India if they keep dividing Indians further on religious and caste lines. Caste and religion have their place and it should not be exploited by everyone to the deriment of India.

Once again - Azim Premji is a great inspiration - not just because he is successful in a grand scale - also because he is a very upright businessman who has proved tha

Raghvendra, you are right, absolutely.

The whole reason for india"s being is to see that muslims dont feel bad, muslims prosper and Hindus?, oh they can remain poor, as always, they are enslaved people. So much enslaved that they cant digest freedom. Even they support the islamic upliftment as their own cost.

ALSO IF A PAKISTANI or BANGLADESHI MUSLIM IS POOR NO ONE SPEAKS OUT THERE.

BUT IN INDIA, HE SHOULD BE ON THE TOP. RIGHT?

Dont stereotype
by deepak on Sep 11, 2007 05:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is wrong to label successful Indians by religion and start analyzing their Muslimness. We saw this with Pres Kalam when some people despite his open indifference to Islam were clamoring to make a Muslim out of him. Premji would be in the same category. Its only celebrities like SRK or AR Rahman who even wear Islam on their sleeves. Chances are with little Hindu openness these gentlemen would have completely aligned with Hinduism.
