It is interesting to read all these articles. The reality is that as far as the ordinary people are concerned GDP growth , price rise and the inflation rate all don't add up together. So it is important to be more realistic with statistics while the government try to fool the people. Just check the price of bread, vegetable or meat/poultry product etc and see if the price has just gone up in tandem with inflation rate? Has any one thought of the huge number of people who retire from private companies and who do not enjoy pension benefits? Their little saving doesnot match with the rising cost of living. So what we need is more action than talk. Not another 20 years but we need to change now.
we need more action orianted speach at lse by governers of rbi and sending right messanges. We are blessed by god and nature and is times to optimise our resoure by the mortuls.
Another 20 years, by that time I will be 50. & will be telling my kids, That I like my father before me waited for 20 years & now it is your turn.
Grow up Mr. Reddy, dont act like a politician & give "Gyan" to all people specifically UK. They ruled us Indian's for close to 100-150 years. Do you think they do not know what you are talking about...They know better than you or anybody in your place. We are only 60 years, they were here for 150 years.
I/We am not interested in waiting for your plan for another 20 years. Well I dont you whether you will be there to see the Vision 2020 yourself or not..
Daily such sermons are read out. These have no meaning.offcial line of a fraudulent and incopmepetent and also impotent government of corrupt guys./yes india will change surely it will go into civil war between 2010 and 2015 for sure if the polticians, babus like RBI governor and corrupt businessmen mismanage country and continue loot and pluinder and facilites for themselves. There is hardly any judiciary and hardly any law and order in country.Free for all is going on in name of Liberalisation.Invisible east india Company is at work and local idiots are also helping sharing the loot.

Dear Prof. Gupta, I have been reading your ramblings in rediff for a long time now and feel really sad that students in India have to learn from "professors" like you. I do not like to say this, but unfortutnately I have to say that you are the single most negative person that I have seen here. Professors are supposed to be "thought leaders". They are supposed to create the next generation of thinkers, scientists, leaders, etc. from students who come to them with a clean slate. With such a negative mindset that you have, I pray to God that He does not send any student to you. You will corrupt his/her mind. Yes, there are problems in our country. Which conutry doesnt have problems? Do you think US doesnt have problems? Ask the parents of children who were shot at a school because of some psychotic kid carrying guns to school - a product of a non-functional society. Do you think UK is better? Ask parents of a kid who comes home drunk and under the influence of drugs. At least we do not have those problems in India. PLEASE look at things a BIT more positively. THINK about what you are doing to solve the problems. If you cannot do it, then PLEASE do not spew this venom online or to your students. PLEASE do this favor to all Indians who are at least TRYING to make our country a better place. If you cannot contribute positively then please stay neutral - dont contribute negatively by spreading negative thoughts.
indian economical policies is divided into state wise .. so it is big problem for businessmen to carry out business in each and every state differently .. india should form one internal currency for inhouse purpose ... like canada . We are doing good against dollar but indian govt should make the policies for employment for youths
Nothing great in the article.. with my all due respect to Mr Reddy.. i dont think his speach is impressive at all.... I think he should have talked more from RBI governer point of view than making generalized statements about indian growth.. people want to know how an institution such as RBI help its nation for a double digit growth and what is its role and how they have done it.. what he spoke I think most of the ppl already know...
